It won't matter. It will be bc of some crazy reason that the Raiders GAVE him the game or anything other than RT played a great game.

I'm one that believes he has what it takes, but I have to say if the play calling, protection and receivers are all on point and he still plays bad.....I will also be discontinuing my support of him. If it clicks, I just see him having a great game though. Bring on Sunday!!!

Sorry, but I just can't even imagine it. I could see a win similar to week 1, where our defense and running game come up huge for us. I could even imagine a scenario where Tannehill has a couple of TD completions to Wallace, but the bottom line is this, after two and half years, at the very least you would have seen some tiny flashes of brilliance that would show you he was going to turn in to the QB you want him to be. Trust me when I say I have nothing personal against Tannehill, I want this team to win and I don't care who the QB is that makes that happen for us, but I challenge anyone here to find me any elite/franchise NFL QB who started from day 1, that into his 3rd season wasn't already performing at a much higher-lever than Tannehill. A big win from him at this point really shouldn't be considered anything more than luck or a fluke, unless he can do it consistently, I know this board tends to be overly emotional after a big win or loss, but IMO one huge win wouldn't prove anything.

It will mean nothing, absolutely nothing.

The raiders suck, so I would call it a fluke. Here is a better question: what if Tannehill lights it up the next 4 games and we start 5-2?

Then and only then will I buy it. I'm not holding my breath.

Should be interesting.....I get OP

Two great games and two horrible games.

Tannehill has struggled with inconsistent play.

But if he puts up a smooth 300 yard game with 2-3 TD's and no stupid mistakes....forum will get spicy.

Been hearing/reading that for 3 years now.

What if Ryan Tannehill just torches the Raiders Sunday?

I, for one, will visit here just to watch the carnage.

And please, pretty please, don't start with "No way it happens". In all honesty, I don't think things can get much more ridiculous with this team...so it wouldn't surprise me.

he SHOULD torch the Raiders.

I would take it as him doing what he is supposed to do.

A poor showing will only further my doubts in him. As far as "handling the teams you should handle". If this game is close or a loss(please don't be a loss b/c that's pathetic), and it's clearly because of Tannehill, it's just another nail in his coffin.

Wont fix anything for me either. Even if we man handle them, I will merely be relieved that we didnt get further embarrassed.

It would be a good start. That's a solid pass defense and will only become more so as Mack continues to develop.

Funny enough, we should be running all day.

Raiders have the worst run D in the league this season, yet a top 5 pass D in the league.

Miller/Thomas/Williams better run this team into a victory.

I agree with this.

I guess torch is the wrong word.

But he should have a game with a very high completion percentage, as well as ypa.

I would be happy because the Miami Dolphins won. I am not here to babysit any one player or coach. For me the only thing I accept is a Miami Dolphins win. If Tannehill is part of that or reason for that I will definitely acknowledge that. But I still do not declare him as a franchise QB because of one game.

Drew Brees.

Actually Drew Brees did not start in his first year so I took the numbers in his 2nd and 3rd year. The numbers should even be better because he had a full year to sit and learn. I'm not saying Ryan Tannehill is going to become Drew-Brees-like, I am just responding to your challenge.
