I barely cared about our 2007 losing streak because New England was simultaneously undefeated and very few obstacles in sight. They were going to be a double digit favorite in every game including the playoffs. That was the priority, maintaining 1972 as unique. It can literally withstand centuries as the greatest accomplishment in American team sports, gaining in mystique all the time.

If we had matched it with a winless season, that's mostly cute trivia.

That being said, I did root for the win over the Ravens. That was swell. I was happy that others were bouncing around and yelling.

Then somehow we became a season-ending favorite over the Bengals. I knew what to do with that game.

Low point was the 1977 offseason, when we were coming off a shocking 6-8 season and had lots of internal problems, culminating in the Reese/Crowder arrest. Younger fans don't remember that episode so they get a pass, other than wanting to believe nothing happened before their era. As I mentioned yesterday, a local columnist compared the situation to the Son of Sam killer in New York. Let me know when this incident reaches that level of hyperbole.

Definitely the 1-15 season as this was the whole team. Bullygate is about one guy being a bully and A-hole. What bothers me is people like Cris Carter, and ex players getting on guys like Tannehill and Pouncey for "not showing any leadership" in dealing with Incognito. Did anyone get all over Brady for not being a leader when Aaron Hernandez murdered someone. Did Brady speak out against this? I am tired of the whole team getting thrown under the bus by the media and talking heads. What happened to INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY?

The forced retirement of Dan Marino

Wait a second......Dan thought about continuing his career, and I believe he considered suiting up for the Minnesota Vikings, but he didn't really want to play for another team, and his wife basically told him that he had to stay home and take care of his seven or eight kids. His wife ended his career more than the Phins. But it was time. I didn't want Dan to pull a Bret Favre.

The Jax massacre.. i was in the Bahamas on vacation and watched the game at a sports bar at Sandals and believe me no amount of liquor could dull the pain.

Only time ever i was embarrassed to wear my dolphin hat even during the 1 win season.

This doesn't bother me much. I expect everyone involved will be looking for new jobs next year, and it will pass. The sting of Marino's last game will never pass, think back on his tremendous career and to think thats how it ended, man. The whole season was rough with the injury he was dealing with, but that was brutal. 1-15 was just a combination of terrible luck and injuries, mixed with a coach that can't even keep a coordinator job. I have to say, when we won in overtime it felt like we won the Super Bowl. I'd say the prostitute thing has left a bad rep on this organization more so than this will.

Too many to choose from. The Ricky Williams saga, Nick Saban, Cecil Collins, Lawrence Phillips, 1-15, 62-7, passing on Drew Brees, etc.
C'mon Dolphins fans having the 1-15 season AND NOT drafting a franchise Quarterback with the number 1 draft pick. That was it for me and its not hindsight. Matt Ryan has been to to the playoffs 4 times, 1 nfc championship and 2 number 1 seeds in the conference. Say what you will about the guy, but as long as they have him they can keep trying to win, i don't care how bad they are this year.

How can you bottom out and not select a franchise QB? Its just terrible, terrible management.

Wanny being named head coach. An event that the franchise has never recovered from.

What? we are now at the point where the Wannstedt years are now the good years to look back upon. 42-31 record with two playoff appearances. Great defense with some guys who i could root for and feel proud to wear their jerseys.
