Who would you start at this point if you were Nick Saban?

IMO there won't be a starter named until after our 3rd preseason game but most coaches with only 4 preseason games would name their starter after the second game.

I'm only going to put 2 QB's in this poll because they are both #1 on the depth chart and because of that it seems that Sage and Brock aren't involved in competition for the starting job.

IMO he's screwed either way.

Unfortunately, that's the feeling I'm getting too. Although it is only preseason, so someone could end up playing well enough to earn the starter's job.

I would give Sage and Brock all snaps with the first tream and start them. We may not uncover a treasure but at least we would KNOW how they could do with the number ones. It would also send a not so subtle message to Gus and AJ. Accepting that this will not happen, Coach will probably continue the rotation. That means Feeley.

There is no doubt in my mind that Gus will be the starter. Of course, that doesn't mean I can't be wrong. That just means I personally don't see any possibility of AJ starting over Gus.

I give Brock and Sage a quarter each at least. I'd like to see them get more reaps with 1st and 2nd stringers. And cut DT and let that Mann kid take his spot! That kid was awesome.

For nearly two years, I have been waiting for AJ to step up and be the next great QB. I am getting to the point that I just don't see it happening. Gus is certainly no savior at QB and he isn't the long term answer but, IMHO, he is the best thing that we have had since Marino...and that ain't saying much.

I just can't understand why we haven't drafted a top notch quarterback in the last 5-10 years? We all knew Dan couldn't play forever. Didn't that ever cross Jimmy's or Wanny's minds? DUH!

That's actually a great idea. Why not give those guys a shot with the 1s2 and 2nd string players? I guess since we're not the coaches though we don't get to see how they perform on a daily basis. Maybe Gus and AJ are way ahead of them.
