Maybe the Patriots "get calls" late in games because their coaches make sure they don't make the same stupid mistakes that everyone else does...
Don't you all think that if the league really wanted a particular team to win after 9/11 that it would have been the Jets, Giants, or Redskins, the teams that play in the three cities that were actually hit in those attacks?
Today is a day of remembrance, not coming up with conspiracy theories for why a particular team has been good ever since terror attacks...
You think the NFL organized the sheared blood vessel that essentially ended Drew Bledsoe's NE career and opened the door for Tom Brady? I seem to remember everyone talking about how long a year it would be for the 0-2-at-the-time Pats. But no, they were just making sure that the Golden Boy whom no one had ever heard of outside of Ann Arbor that was drafted in the 6th round would become the biggest star in the NFL for the best team in the NFL.
You think they wanted to make Bill Belichick the best coach in the NFL? You know, the guy who wears one expression, not to mention one hoodie, for the entire season? Wouldn't it make more sense to highlight a coach that divides partisans, like Bill Parcells or Herm Edwards or even Bill Cowher, a guy that people actually knew beforehand?
Come on, guys, you're better than this.
