What trade value does Matt Moore have

Lol yeah and Sanchez played like miserable dog **** in games that mattered a lot. I'm not a Matt Moore proponent at all but I do actually think that he had a slightly better year than Sanchez.... Which isn't saying much anyway.

they were both .500 QBs that played well at times but were mostly mediocre. The difference btw the 2 is Moore doesn't have good play in big games to fall back on.

I started a thread about this a little bit ago, I personally think we could get a 3rd or 4th round pick for this guy. Look at his stats and QB rating. There are at least 8 teams that would consider Matt Moore better than their starting QB (including the JETS). Matt Moore is in a contract year and will work hard for any team he is dealt to. I am not a Keep Henne guy, but considering the amount of 2nd round picks teams have spent on QB's including the Dolphins, I think we could easily get a 3rd... But I do agree, he is a reliable backup QB.
A 3rd could be too much for him, but a 4th looks like a fair price.

As you pointed some teams have less qualified starters (Bills, Browns, Cardinals, Colts, Jaguars, Raiders, Redskins, Seahawks). If things work normally, we could assume Colts will draft Luck, Cards won't trash Kolb, Raiders will stay with Palmer and Jaguars will continue developing Gabbert. But Buffalo, Cleveland, Washington, Seattle and our Miami Dolphins will push to upgrade their QB ASAP.

Let's say I don't expect Manning could be ready to start on 2012, while Drew Brees and Alex Smith will return to their teams. So the list of free agents of quality is reduced to Matt Flynn, Jason Campbell, Chad Henne and Kyle Orton.

Add RG3 as top choice and you could see that the market for challenger/backup QB is going to put a rising value on guys like Moore, specially if some key injury shows up early in the season.

You will never hear this Miami fan utter anything about wanting Sanchez in Miami. **** that. If Miami has to live through Matt Moore one more seasons as the offensive steward, sobeit but it still doesn't mean I don't want Miami making plays for a QB for the long term.

Sanchez is a hot steaming pile of garbage and if Miami made a play for any QB I would personally want it with the notion that the potential of the QB would far exceed that of Suckhez.

If the QB isn't a Brees, Manning(s), Brady, Rogers, etc...keep on looking.

Never said I wanted Sanchez but no amount of drugs makes me see moore as a better long term or even short term qb than him. Saying Moore is a better qb is pure homerism but oh well thats nothing new

always referencing the "past" for your QB of the "future".....

Nothing.

He is just an average QB. If you want mediocrity he is your guy.

If you want excellence, look elsewhere...

In our division, there is only one good QB...the remaining three are just average/mediocre.

well then i guess Junc like average/mediocrity because he said he is very happy with Sanchez overall, while most Dolphins fans here clearly are not

So yeah... I dont know what has been said in the last few pages because I stoped reading page 4.... But can there PLEASE! be some kind of a thread or forum related to the Jets and Fins hatred? I kinda liked where this thread was going until it became a my penis is longer than yours contest... Thread title: Whats Moore trade value... WTF does that have to do with Mark Sanchez of the fkin Jets???

The bottom line is that Sanchez came out as the #5 overal pick in the draft and no one in their right mind would give up the #5 pick for him now. Matt Moore was a undrafted free agent and is now arguably worth maybe a fourth round pick. Sanchez might fetch a third round pick.

If Sanchez is better a better QB than Moore it ain't by much, which is sad because again, he was the #5 pick.

Couldnt agree with you more, the one common thing in all these type of threads is Junc coming into a thread where the title and subject has absolutely nothing to do with the Jets, yet 99 pit of 100 times he turns it into a thread about his obsession Sanchez and brings up the same BS stubborn arguments every time and it goes way off topic and no where relevant

Junc did not bring up Sanchez until someone else did so to act like he hijacked the thread is disingenius. Whether you like Sanchez or not no informed person will say that moore has more trade value which is what prompted Sanchez into the discussion. Personally there are alot of qb's i would rather have than either but Sanchez is in no danger of losing his starting job at this point which is quite a contrast from journeyman Matt Moore.

Now with the equivalent of 3 half seasons under his belt, for you to call Moore a 26yo "journeyman" is as justifiable as me calling your bromance Matt Ryan a 4 season "choker" with no clutch gene on the basis of his 3 abysmal postseasons and conference championship failure before that.

Beyond that, if Moore was a huge reach at 5 and as much of a disappointment, even if a sulking wuss instead of demonstrating the leadership he has, he'd be as safe as Sanchez. They're stuck with Sanchez and I count about 26 teams who wouldn't substitute him for their starting QB or the forthcoming options that avail themselves.

As far as junc invading this thread goes, you' re being disingenuous yourself.. This was an intra-fins thread, asked by a fin fan of other fins. Junc came in uninvited and hypocritically in his passive aggressive MOS, denigrated the value of Moore who factually outperformed Sanchez this year. The cascading results were expected and typical, as one shouldn't a)be throwing stones if it's not his neighborhood, and b)throwing stones if he himself lives in a glass house.

You might want to look up the word journeyman. He has bounced around three teams since he came into the league, isnt that the very defintion of a journeyman.
All junc said was would be lucky to garner a 7th and someone said since moore had better stats then Sanchez must be worth less which has nothing to do with actual value. I think Moore is worth more than a 7th but this had nothing to do with Sanchez until another poster brought it up. Just like I never brought up Ryan until you just mentioned him and he is quite better than Sanchez or Moore so is there a point.
