What trade value does Matt Moore have

We would be stupid to dump him for a conditional 7th when you stand a better chance of him moving on and getting a compensatory pick for him the following year if he does well. Matt Moore has built up some rapore with BM and a solid backup means alot in the NFL today. He is IMO one of the more "untradable" pieces on this team in regards to realistic situations. He's cheap and he was productive, and those 2 words are rare in the last decade plus to hear from a Miami QB.

Moore Will garner a 5th perhaps but the situation would have to be similar to when we got Thigpen. The real issue though is that Moore is much more valuable as our back up then what we could get with a fifth round pick.

Backup QB's are a dime a dozen and that is about all Moore is at this time. I would rather have him around as the #3 QB and clipboard holder, and then we get either Manning/Flynn to start, and we draft a rookie QB to groom for later on.

Considering Moore, utilizing what Junc loves to point out as inferior talent, outperformed Sanchez, on most every measurable metric, finished stronger and ended up with the same .500 record, plus the fact that his players respect him, he cheers them on instead of sulking in the corner and having hatefests with his star receiver, plus actually had pressure on him taking over a winless team and trying to salvage his career vs being coddled..... I'd say whatever Sanchez is worth, Moore is probably worth at least that round if not a round better. Who here wouldn't bet against Moore beating out Sanchez in a fair TC competition? So at present if Sanchez might be worth a 3rd.. you figure out what Moore would be worth.

:lol2::lol2: a 3rd or 4th rd pick, you might be able to get that if you throw in Cam Wake w/ him. 3rd or 4th rd pick:lol: most teams understand Moore is nothing more than a career backup, he's valuable as a backup but no team would even give up a conditional 3rd or 4th rounder, you'd be lucky to be able to get a conditional late rd pick.

Sanchez!

Hey Vaark did you do those paintings in your sig??? Very nice work. Like LeRoy Nieman.

and most Jets fans understand Sanchez was a reach, is hot garbage, and want him replaced

You do realize Moore outperformed Sanchez last year, right? I know that you are used to Dolphins QBs outperforming Sanchez year in and year out, since he got in the league, but if what you say is true that Moore will not get Miami better then a 7th, does that mean you actually believe the Jets will get nothing for Sanchez?

you know the answer will be no, and the reason will be Moore was "playing with no pressure" and that Sanchez had a down year because of his O-Line and has proven in the past he can play in "big games".......even though he lost them the game vs Miami with a chance at the playoffs on the line

anyone that knows anything about the game knows there wouldn't be a competition btw Sanchez and Moore. Moore is a nice backup, nothing more.

Awesome! he played slightly better in meaningless games w/ no pressure to win. He did this in Carolina too, no GM would give up a bag of balls for Moore. when Moore plays in and wins a big game then we can begin to talk.

sanchez at this juncture still has more trade value than matt moore...someone probably thinks they can rescue sanchez...3rd round very possible imo...i don't think its any higher than that though

I'm not saying Sanchez wouldn't be a nice backup if he can ever get rid of the jitter, grow some testicles, become a leader and get his head screwed on straight. Anything is possible, but at present I'd say that anyone who knows football and is not wearing green tinted glasses, realizes that Moore has at least as much of a chance of unseating as many starting QBs in the league as does Sanchez in a fair TC competition.

heh we'll see who's the better QB when philbin and sherman get a hold of moore and sparano, who junc loves so much now, gets a hold of sanchez bahaha.

also if we get flynn or rg3 this year....

brady > (healthy)fitz > flynn/rg3 > moore > mallett > sanchez/henne/thigpen/bradsmith.. the jets will have the 6th best QB in the division.

If there was a competition it would look like this:
