What was the big rumor on Mike and Mike?

This morning on the way to work, they were talking about a trade rumor that would "shift the balance of power" in the NFL. I had to get out of my truck before they came back and talked about it. Did anyone hear the rumor and what teams it involved?
 
How would that shift the balance of power?
 
How the heck does that shift the balance of power? Trading a backup QB to the worst team in the NFL? SD is already a power. This would potentially allow them to get stronger, but I do not see a shift here. BTW - Did they say who SD would want to choose with the No.1?
 
Giving a young playoff team from last year the #1 overall pick to add to the 2 1st round picks that they already had could definately shift the power to them.

Pro-Bowl QB
All-Pro TE
All-Pro RB
#1 overall pick at WR

add two more #1 picks to already good defense.

I think they'd give the coordinator-less Patriots a run for their money.

They would have to give up one of the two (#12) that they already had to get the #1.
