Uhh... no.
Rookie contracts are slated now (sort of. Unofficially). Cam Newton signed for 4 years and 22 million. No more busting the cap with a high-pick bust. They can easily acommodate Luck and Manning capwise.

There goes the FA last time I checked QB wasn't the only holes in their team. Luck will not sit behind manning.
actually he's almost right. If the colts keep manning, they owe him 35 million next year. Luck stands to make 5M min/year (new rookie wage scale) and any bonuses coming his way. That's over 40M in cap hit on those two guys who cannot play at the same time.
It isn't my addition. The numbers have been widely published for weeks, and they are correct. Keeping Manning and drafting Luck would mean over a 50 mil cap number. They would have to cut a fourth of their team to pull that off. It is absurd to even consider that the Colts would do both.
Why can't Peyton hold Danny's jock strap? Last I heard, all Danny had were stats. Danny is 8-10 in the post season, Manning is 9-10. Manning has a superbowl ring and he has most of Dan's old stats. I know we love Dan, but lets be reasonable. If we think Dan is in the conversation of GOAT, then Manning is there as well. Peyton is basically Danny 2.0.
Eli had a fantastic year, but no one would ever pick Eli over Peyton. If you think Eli is a better QB than Peyton, we can stop talking about how good QB's are right here.

How are you going to use this as an argument against Manning and not mention it with Marino? I mean i love Marino, but he wasn't exactly captain clutch himself in the postseason. Manning and Brady are the two best of this era and also some of the best of all time. Brady hasn't won a championship since the defense signals weren't being recorded for him, so i'd say the edge goes to Manning. (Of course Brady could change that this Sunday, i don't think he will though).
No, they can't. You're acting like it's simply MANNING and LUCK. But w/o even considering MANNING and LUCK, the COLTS are ALREADY in "cap hell". All those "baclkloaded contracts", designed to keep a core of solid veterans on the "O" AND "D" and STILL be able to afford MANNING. Well, all of those "chickens" are coming home to roost, my friend. Do your homework before posting.
One thing that PAERCELLS got right: "You are what your record says you are". ELI is in the SB this weekend. If he wins, he has 2 SB rings, to PEYTON's 1 and MARINO's NONE. And ELI's 1st SB victory was over an 18-0 opponent. And ELI has a few more years left in his career than PEYTON does. MARINO's time is UP, and the "book" on him is closed. So in the ONLY category that matters as far as I'm concerned, SB WINS, ELI and PEYTON are tied. And a few days from now, ELI will have at the least appeared in more SBs than PEYTON. If he wins, then in the MANNING Clan, he's the man!

we don't improve on defense, OL, or WR. Yes We have Manning but hes been out of football for a year with a career ending injury. So I am not so sold on knighting him as our savior. First off if we take fleener were in trouble hes a late first round- 2nd round talent. if we cant trade down we take a RT or WR in round 1. if we can trade down and acquire another 2nd. we go WR, THEN IN ROUND 2 OG/T AND TE.
as for our off season signing Grubbs or Nicks is a must to sure up our line. the if GB doesn't resign Finley which is a possibility because they wont have enough money he becomes a top off season priority. he we do that it opens up the draft for us.
This would be considered an amazing off season.

No. By your argument, Dan was as good as Jamarcus Russell. Both have zero SB wins. Terry Bradshaw was as good as Joe Montana. both have 4 SB wins. Jim Plunkett has a career 67QB rating and a 72-72 record. He's 2-0 in SB appearances. Only 4 other QB's have more SB wins so that makes him top 5 all time. Terrible argument.
