What's our cap situation looking like?

I totally agree. This guy is a moron and what he does is not funny. He went on my ignore list the first day I saw him.

Holy crap, you're a genius...I completely forgot about the ignore feature.

And I agree with D, all the 'cut Mare' talks aren't really being evaluated with foresight in mind. Mare IS still a good kicker, made a few rough kickers but what's our next option? Re-sign Bill Gramatica?...please, see sig.

Mare is a great kicker! why release him

What games have you been watching? The past two years Mare has been an average kicker at best. Factor in his missing EVERY single kick off the infield dirt, and only looking at his grass kicking, then he's above average, but still far from where he used to be when he was great. But the infield dirt is part of our game for the first several games. He is in no way great. Is your name Olindo?

I am not sure we can cut Howard without suffering dead cap consequences.
I suspect Saban has someone else in mind to cut to free up cap money.

How much are our rookies going to cost us? The NFL & the players assoc. haven't agreed on a CBA extension, and under the current terms bonuses can be prorated for only 3yrs beyond the last capped season, with 2006 as the last. This means teams can only use 2005-09 for amortized bonuses. Last years 2nd pick was Robert Gallery, who received a $8mil bonus amortized over 6 yrs. That same bonus this year prorated over just 5 yrs would cost a difference of $266,667 per year for us. When you are using the rookie cap every dollar counts and I'm just talking about one draft pick. The rookie pool usually goes up about 4-5% each year, but, you know agents ask for more than that.

When the h3ll are they gonna sign Ronnie Brown already??

Way to early to get upset. No one is signed yet. Need some contracts to come in so that the market and values are clear.
