cunningham will prob start over Ellis; it sucks that he's missed most of the preseason but he missed even more time last offseason and got on the field day one. I think letting Mayo and Spikes blitz more will be key too.

I'm not worried about Cunningham. He missed even more time last year/ He was able to play in the preseason and was running with the number 1's during TC.
I don't know what happenend with Brace; he just can't stay healthy.

IDK about Sanders, but Butler was straight A.S.S! I loved us lining up against that fool, its a shame they finally got rid of him lol. And I've since heard some very discouraging things about Meriweather also. Not gonna lie, I was one of the guys that just took it for granted, like "Oh, two straight pro-bowls? He HAS to be a top tier safety" and apparently I wasnt alone on that assumption. But after further consideration, his numbers we middle of the pack, and thats being generous.
Only positive about this is they lost a starter in Meriweather, not much else.

Cunningham is a JAG, he didn't impress me last season and I don't expect much from him. He's not a pass rush specialist which Pats fans hoped for.

Butler stunk. I still think that only Mccorty is anygood for the pats. Chung is overrated and a good st guy. Brown is ??? Bodden was hurt last year and who knows how he will be i think thier D will not be as good as some think. The D-line is made up of throwaways from other teams. I like Carter but he is getting old.

Chung isn't overrated. A lot of non-pats fans think he sucks in coverage but that isn't true. He's a solid coverage guy and a beast against the run; the only time he really struggled in coverage was when they had him play nickel corner against slot receivers because our CB's were injured. He earned the starting SS job last year and was lights out before he started getting injured. If he stays healthy I predict a big year.

a lot of mocks had the Phins taking Butler in the first. same with the Pats.

Butler was a great athlete in college, and BB was blinded by that. The kid didn't even start playing football until late in high school. He showed nothing at UConn that said he was even remotely decent in coverage. He was a pretty good returner, and BB didn't even use him there.
