I'm concerned that the guy backing up the 2nd to worst starting linebacker in the NFL is even worse.

I don't think you can say with any certainty that McCain isn't ready. Its really hard to say if he is one way or another…all we know is every time he has been on the field since he has been here he makes plays. He will wear target in coverage…but he could be spark as a blitzer/pass rusher and in run defense. Personally I think they will start Trusnik but if its me Im putting McCain out there.

I'm not too worried about it. I share the sentiment that it can't get much worse from wheelers play last year.

Side note - I see everyone saying thry are worried about gronk, and he's a weapon for sure, but vereen is the one that really scares me.

Though I don't see how that is possible considering teams are on lockdown the night before game. The Dolphins all stay at a hotel for home games and have an early curfew.

I have been calling for Wheeler to get the axe. I hope this isn't a "be careful what you wish for" situation and after Sunday I have regrets. Although I like McCain, he is inexperienced, and Jenkins can't seem to take the next step.

Neither will taking a quick and sizeable lead early, then trying to sit on it, and try to run out the clock. Score as much as possible, and don't take the foot off the gas, until the game is less then 30 sec from being over.

I think if the game is less than 40 seconds from being over, I'd run out the clock

McCain and Trusnik were the #1 and #3 PFF rated LBs in the pre-season...granted, it's pre-season action, but it's not a TOTAL loss them being in there.

Time to prove something...next man up, as they say.

We've had Trusnik for awhile now, we know he's not anything special. He's the last person I want to see facing Tom Brady. I feel better about Jenkins, but still not happy about seeing Brady get his chance to pick apart an inexperienced LBer.

He was going to pick apart Wheeler anyway. Did you not read how they would go no huddle when he was on the field for the sole reason of picking on him? So again, what's the difference between him and an inexperienced player?

I doubt it's being considered, but the best move would be to put Trusnik in the middle and move Misi back outside this week.

I am so tired of hearing how great the Pats are. They are good, but this is not 2005 anymore. Besides, it is time for someone in this division to stand up to them.
