I brought this up in another thread ....Satele may be a good fit for a zone blocking scheme like this....if he plays well I put Pouncey at guard.
... is there any logic to retaining Satele at center and moving Pouncey to (left) guard? If I recall, Pouncey had some inconsistency with his snaps. Not sure if that issue was completely resolved.
Satele was the guy that did absolutely nothing on the play. He looks like he lost a contact lens.
Last game the offensive line as a whole played better than it has at any point during Pouncey's career. It's funny hearing people hypothesize about how much better the line will be once he returns. It's about more than individual talent. Especially at a position like C. Pouncey is a cancer. We should cut the cord as soon as possible. If Satele continues to perform like he did last Sunday then I'm fine with him remaining our starter.

You sound like an Omar Kelly article. Omar sets the standard in this town for people who swear by their passion for watching tape on line play and yet have no idea what the **** they're looking at. I enjoy reality and results. The line was unquestionably more effective than it's been in a long time. Satele was a part of that. I'm not going to go back and look at each individual battle because from what I did see there were no breakdowns, there was strong communication on the line, and a wildly effective inside running game.Go back and watch the tape. The guard's were able to handle there assignments. Satele was lost several times looking for anyone at the 2nd level.
Oh well. Lazor spoke about Smith play on Wilfork. Glad to see others pay attention to the tape.
That was about the most preposterous combination of drivel I have ever read

We'll see. Pouncey may come back and play for us this year, but I don't believe he's long for this team.Thankfully, Dennis Hickey and Joe Philbin don't share your opinion.
“Pouncey is an excellent player,” Hickey said on WMEN, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “I’ve had good conversations with him in the last month. I’m excited about the future.”
Your reply is really classless. I didn't even take a position. Given how well the line played I thought that the question would make an interesting point of debate. And it did. There were prominent posters advocating positions on each side of the debate.
Maybe you should show some courage and make a similar such reply to Zounds, BlueFin, Wildbill3 or Mogwai.
Team CAPTAINS this year are Tannehill, Wake, and Trusnik. Pouncey's on the leadership council. Like he was last year. As was Incognito. Due to their failures last year (Bullygate), they don't even vote on leadership council members anymore and the coaches based it on seniority. There's A LOT of players on the council this year. I wouldn't call it a vote of confidence, more a necessity not to make the guy feel like he was demoted.Pouncey is DEFINITLY in the long term plans, my man. Hickey was RAVING about this dude lol....
And despite all the nonsense surrounding "bully gate", they made him a CAPTAIN this year. Sending a clear message: They want him here long term.
