When will John Beck start???

When will John Beck be a full time starter?

Ok it does not matter a bit what his age is. There is a 18 y/o coming into the NFL so he should not start till he is 21? QBs need alot more time to understand the very compacated O and Ds of the Pros. You stick that kid out there this year we will be drafting an other QB because the one we did this year got killed. I think 09 is a great time for him to start if he is ready he might turn out to be a carrer back up. If TG does get hurt then we are going to look like dumb S$*Ts for kicking Cpep out. So Oline better be a wall.

Beck is a very smart QB that is picking up our system pretty well from what I have been reading. He is impressing the players and the coaches with his coachability and his studying of the game. He is yrs ahead of his time and may start sooner than anyone thinks.... But I think it also has to do with how far TG can go, his health and how good/bad TG plays. If TG plays poorly....expect JB to get in there for the reps...
 
I don't know but I do know when he'll play when we are destroying Buffalo

I agree. I hate to see us spend a 2nd for him only to not start him in 2-3 yrs... Either this yr(If TG suxs) or next year from the start (if he proves he can handle it).
 
i hope he will be ready by the middle of this season but i think he will start next season

Doesn't the time needed to figure out the Os and Ds depend on how smart the QB is? Beck is one of the smartest QBs out there as far as book smarts, retention, and even football intuition.
Beck's already got a lot of NFL smarts.

Give him a year to watch and maybe a couple of games this year, another off season, and he's the man in 2008.
