Fine than since every doesn't seem to remember how good ricky williams was than let's say Kay Jay harris has a great game. like 200 yards combined and a couple of Tds.

I remember how good Ricky was, but I wanna know how good he is now.

If Ricky wasnt serving a 4 game suspension I bet RB would be signed, but Ronnie has the leverage right now....Saban doesnt want to go 4 games without Ricky and not have Ronnie in the fold either....watch the Phins cave in for the extra 3 million.....RB is just hurting our Cap. :yell:

I HOPE he signs As SOON as possible... TODAY?

However, my guess is this is a huge difference the two sides have to make up. I am guessing it will still take a few weeks. =(

So Ronnie Brown is at fault for wanting to get paid in line with what the 2nd pick in the draft gets paid, so it's his fault that the Phins are low balling him? Stacked at RB? Ricky Williams is out the first 4 games, and I don't believe a Lamar Gordon/Sammy Morris duo in the backfield is gonna have any team worried about facing the Phins.

That's the problem. The system sucks. He should not be paid a certain amount just because he was the second pick. All of these first rounders are unproven, yet get more guaranteed money than some proven veterans will earn in multiple years. Would Smith have gotten nearly that much money had he been in last years or next years draft? No way, but there were no QB's this year and the top team needed a QB. I agree he should try to get as much as he can but to bicker over 3 million guaranteed that you can make up in incentives is silly. Especially with the effect it will have on the team. There are quite a few picks who signed for less than a pick that was after them. And I can't help but come back to Caddilac. He was at camp BEFORE the contract was signed and finalized because he was determined to be at camp on time and be with his team and prove himself.

And I wouldn't call 19mil guaranteed low balling

waste of a pick. he'll end up more than what Edge or Alexander would have cost us.
I much wouldve rather traded for alexander...all they wanted was a fringin 2nd round pick....doohohhhh...not the second pick. it really not ronnie, its his agent.....he is really screwing our franchise' recovery at this point....

I agree. i'm also sick of hearing people on here say "he only want 3 mill more just give it to him and get him in here." those people realize that if we give him that money that could mean Donald Lee being our tight end next year instead of McMichael. amoung other things.
