Where Are The Bills Better Than The Dolphins?

How do the bills stockpile so many good backs all the time?

Bills have home field advantage. That alone is pretty huge

Ya, well if you um take away the turf and the goalposts and the screaming crowd their home field advantage is just average.

I'm sorry it's been a long time since I posted, but I could let the whole "well if you take away their top 4 runs, they would only avg like 2.8 yds a carry" thing slide

my guess:

receivers: MIA

QB: push

RB's: push

OL: push

DL: push

LB: BUF

DB's: push

True, but last year after the big NE win we came out, were unprepared and flat vs the Bills up there. Under the same coach we will see how the teams responds. My hope is that Lazor has more affect on the team than Philbin and he doesn't let us come out flat this week, but beating the pats was an emotional win and under Philbin we don't usually do well the next week. Hopefully this week will be different.
I think our new OC will demand much more of this offense than the previous one. I'd be shocked if at any time this year this offense will ever be labeled flat.

They draft one in the first round every few years. They drafted a RB in the first round in 1997, 2003, 2007, and 2010.

This is a reason they haven't been successful. RBs aren't very hard to find, to use that many 1st rounders on that position in a not too long period of time is not the wisest of strategy. They had a few different regimes making those calls but still.

With the better QB and the new offense, Miami has more margin for error than Buffalo, so I'm favoring the Dolphins going into week 2, but divisional games are never easy, and RWS is going to be a madhouse.

If Miami pulls this out, they have an excellent shot at starting the season 4-0. Big game.

And like the Jets, they are still struggling to find a QB.

Miami definitely has the better secondary....especially with Byrd no longer there.

If Miami is clicking....This game could get real ugly for Buffalo....I see Tannehill tearing that secondary up.

That's going to force Buffalo and the young QB to try and keep up...which feeds right into Miami's biggest strength....the pass rush.

Daquix, the way you talk about your superior rb's and the most awesome dl in the universe, and all the great stats from last year...What was your record-last year?

If you go strictly by week 1, they're not in the same league. The main mitigating factor to that, is this is a divisional game between long time rivals...all bets are off.

If both teams play like they did last week, and of course that's a big if...it's a Miami romp.

Their D line was horrible against Chicago, no matter what he says. Mario was good...everybody else stunk up the joint.

Actually...when I look at Buffalo I don't see an improved team from last year.

Yes...they drafted a nice young receiver(way over paid)...but aside from that...they got worse.

Alonso and Rivers are out and Byrd is gone.

The defense is worse than the one we faced last year...and offensively...I'd be surprised if Manuel plays as well as Thad Lewis did against us.

Miami on the other hand improved the O-line significantly...brought in some attitude players on defense...and oh yeah....Knowshon.

I see Miami rolling.

This is the wrong question...Its not "Where are the Bills better then the Dolphins?" - but....

How do these two teams match up - and who has the advantages.

I give many of them to the Bills - Who I cannot stand - I personally feel and believe that they should be out of the the NFL! So you can only imagine how hard it is for me to admit - but I do.

Dolphins will have a very tough time against this perennial 5 and 11 franchise.

They are tough at home.

Their QB plays like a hall of famed against Miami.

Their running backs have been killing us for years - we cannot seem to get off the field against this or previous crews.

Tannehill finds ways to lose games against this team - see last years audible play change, sack, fumble...like he was paid to do it..

Our special teams falter....

The refs screw us...

And we generally start the games against them stiff and slow.....

So if Miami is gonna be a serious team this year this a game to watch...

I am hoping but not betting on it.

FWIW, PFF had Miami better in week #1 on O- overall, passing, run, pass block, run block, and penalty. On D- overall, run, pass rush, cover, and penalty. Buff was .3 ahead on ST's.

To break it down on opinion of the positions as to if the Bills re better.

Offense

QB- No

RB- ?

TE- No

WR- No

OL- Not sure but, leaning to No.

Defense

DL-Close call

LB- ?

Safety- ?

CB- No
