Where Are The Bills Better Than The Dolphins?

So totally dismantling a dominant, perennial deep playoff team is less shocking than barely beating a mediocre team with no defense...in overtime?

Got ya...you're just a hater...and pathetic one at that.

can you just stick to the topic and stop w/ the childish insults. I have said over and over again Miami was more impressive but to try to take credit away from Buffalo is silly and petty.

it seems like buffalo ALWAYS runs the ball down our throat when we play them up there. if they run effectively we're in trouble, thats their biggest advantage in my opinion.

EJ Manual just does not look like an NFL QB. I get a sense for how a coaching staff feels about their QB on 3rd and long. The Bills run the ball and throw screen passes in that situation. The Dolphins throw the ball down field to convert the first down.

There are a few things that bother me about the game:

1. The home crowd

2. Stopping the running game and screen passes

3. Will our OL hold up?

If we play like we did in the second half last week, we will slaughter them. If the Bills played like they did last week and we play an average game, we will beat them. We didn't use much of Tannehill running last week. I think we will run one early in the game to try to make their DEs hesitant. The improved running game, pass blocking, and wrinkles in the offense should be enough to contain their pass rush enough for Tannehill to be successful. Buffalo was not a good run defense last season. and we need to run the ball against them early.

the majority picked NE but it wasn't a shock to see Miami win. It was a shock to see Buffalo win.

I DID stick to the topic, you just deflected it...as usual.

Yep, I am a "hater" for praising Miami. some of you guys are just crazy, if people don't fawn all over Miami and tell you they will be 16-0 you think they are being bashed. Comical.

And STILL haven't addressed the issue...deflect deflect deflect...your M.O.

Don't you think that's a bit of a stretch NY? Since the years of Marion, I'm pretty sure no one thinks we go 16-0, as the Fins have wrecked that possibility year in and year out.
The difference this year is all the positive changes. Instead of talking about an explosive offense for years, we actually have one. It was proven against the king of the AFC East.
Nah, we don't think we go 16-0 after week 1, but we think that if we can go 8-8 last year, that this year's improvements will put us in the playoffs. I do firmly believe that.

I am not trying to dampen your enthusiasm I am just speaking realistically. I praised you guys up and down, Miami was as impressive as any team in week 1 but it is just week 1. 1 week is great, they need to prove they can do that consistently. Again, you were 3-0 last year which included a win that looked huge at the time at home vs. Atlanta and in '10 you were 2-0 w/ a road win that looked huge at the time over Minnesota.

I am NOT saying you will flame out, just cautioning you guys that 1 game doesn't mean greatness no matter how great you did play.

lol thanks for trolling our board and "keeping us in check" I guess. Really appreciate it. But dont you guys have a big game against the Pack? WHy are you so focused on the Dolphins all the time?

Bottom Line: Cutler gave that game away, they were 8-8 last season and although they were 2nd in points scored but still were 30th in points allowed. So when Cutler, the main point scorer, puts up good fantasy yardage, but still only manages to score 20 points through OT, while having one of his interceptions ending up 7 yards from the endzone resulting in a short pass for the TD and another interception turning into a FG. So essentially, although at home and definitely an upset, last season's 2nd scoring offense managed only 20 yet gave up 10 for a net 10pt offensive effort. Kudos to Buffalo for capitalizing on them and their defense for containing Cutler.

The Dolphins also upset the Patriots, a team most prognisticators predicted to either play in or win the SuperBowl. I could be wrong but I didn't see a single pundit predict a Miami win and if true, they were as much if not more underdogs even at home, considering the relative degree of difficulty. So from an underdog standpoint, Miami's win, particularly remarkable considering who was linebacking for us, was even more startling than the Buffalo upset. Making this victory even more eye-opening was that Miami left between 10 and 20 points on the table through perfectly placed dropped balls and at least one bad pass. So a 13 point victory that could well have mushroomed into a 3 TD victory in regulation time leaves no doubt which of the two upsets was the most surprising and impressive. Also most humiliating for their respective opponents

Making snow angels ??????

I had RB as a ? because I just don't know. I look at last year, as well as the first game, and also consider receiving and blocking for an over all view. I see Jackson and Moreno as a toss up so far in running, receiving, and blocking. Spiller has been the better runner than Miller, with both disappointing to their teams. I give Miller a bit of an edge as a receiver, a big edge as a blocker, and have to consider his 4 fumbles to Miller's 1.

I've been a Phinatic for many a moon, and also have to consider Miller running behind the absolute worst run blocking I have ever seen on a Miami team. All in all, I have to wait and see more.
