Where do we enough depth that we can trade a player for a pick?

You'd have to be really good for teams to send out anything for a receiver coming off a patellar tear. Gibson was pretty impressive last year for a while, but that was just a flash in a pan in a league where 2/3 of the receivers on NFL week one rosters are going to have monster games every now and then in their careers. Matthews could be a 6th to 7th round pick for a team that really liked him and was desperate, but most teams in the NFL will spend the bulk of camp or even the start of the season trying to see if their own late round receivers will work out. By then, Matthews may be had for nothing.

Matthews had a chance last year and seemed to be running with it for a while, but he disappeared after the Bucs game only to make a name for himself by dropping a potential TD pass that could have saved our season which was on life support in the last game. He blew it.

Wide receiver and defensive line of course if your asking about the deepest areas of the team. As far as a trade IMO you need older proven players with a young stud already on the team as a replacement. Usually you find this on a veteran team and IMO this is no veteran team and a team needing every inch of player talent you can find. The draft is a gamble to hope to find a replacement for a proven talent. Usually at most you get a 2nd rounder and we have done poorly in that round for awhile. I would say Wake might give you the value around the 1st or 2nd round with Dion Jordan as his replacement but guess what Dion Jordan is suspended already for 3 games this year which kind of proves my point. Instead of a trade wait till their contract expires and let the NFL give you compensation in the draft like the Pats do every year and or just trade down in the draft again like the Pats do and Jimmy Johnson did here and aquire more draft picks to increase your odds in the draft. Great/ Good players in every round.

KEEP WAKE!!!! He is a key player in the quest to have a tough defense. Jordon, a player with excellent potential also now has major questions. I'm not interested in gambling that Jordon will be a breakout star this year making Wake expendible. I'll keep both for the benefit of THIS season! Screw draft choices for next year. We have to win now and we have a suspect o-line, RB, LBers and health of secondary is a worry. We need all the talent we have and Wake is of major importance.
