Where do ya see the Potential in AJ??

Well he wasn't any better than Fielder's best year when he was an alternate that ended up going to Pro Bowl. Aikman and Young were injured and Kerry Collins and Gus Frerotte were thier replacements.
Fiedler never gained 3400+ passing yards in a season and at least Gus could put up 2500 yards plus every year he started and at least he never throw more INTs in a year then he did TDs

Frerotte twice threw more Int than td's .

1998 year after Pro Bowl threw 1 td and 3 int in three games started I guess he was injured or pulled.

2002 in Cinncy 4 starts 1 td 4 int.

Frerotte has only put up 3453 but that is his only season that he has broke 3000. Fielder had 3290 one season so its not alot of difference.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a Fielder fan but Gus is not really an upgrade although the offensive system might be.

Too bad Fielder will never be able to throw a 65 yard pass.

Pretty immaterial but true. The problem Fielder was a backup type who started much like Frerotte if he does. No other coach would have neglected QB like Wanny.

The big difference is that Frerotte actually has a half decent arm.

you got me there but Fuerotte has a much stronger arm then Fiedlier has

You can argue this until your blue in the face, but you know what, were going to find out very shortly, if he is going to be the quarterback of the Miami Dolphins in 2005. If he isn't, he probably won't be here in 2006................

The TD throw to Thompson against NE was considerable farther than 5 yds, under pressure, into coverage, on 4th and 10.

well, every now and then, the sun shines on a dog's arse too.

we need to use this year to see if we need a franchise qb in next years draft.

why not start AJ and if he sucks, i would jump to sage and give him a shot. if not then gus can have it and we know for sure we need to draft a qb in 06 first round.

Well the sun shined on the dog's arse 16 times that game.

so you are telling me that you see potential in a deperation 4th down piss in the wind that beat a 5'9" coverted wide reciever and found dt's hands? imo it was luck, the whole damn game was luck. if new england just runs the ball and the clock ticks down, it's another loss, but tom brady tries to throw from the seat of his pants and we get lucky. that play didn't change my view on feeley; he finally caught a break w/ that play. i don't see anything more than a backup in him; you see more than that, so i guess that is that.

Well over the last 3 games of the year he only threw 1 pick in over 113 passes which should be a sign of some maturation plus won 2 of final three games including a win vs Super Bowl Champ New England. So if that is not potential what is is it. We were in all these games and came very close to beating Denver at Denver. Give this guy some protection with a decent line because nobody could succeed with the way the line played last year and not a decent back to take pressure off him. If people wanna go with Gus that is an opinion but Gus has never been or ever will be anything special. Somehow went to Pro Bowl with a 70 something rating. If Feeley can improve on the way he played at end of year or even just play as well as he did that has to show some potential much more than Frerotte has because its no coincidence that nobody tried to sign him as thier starter.

Anybody watch the browns game, the week after the pats? He should have been picked off at least 3 times.

Actually he made that throw twice. On 3rd down the WR was flagrantly interfered with, but the officials didn't call it. They went with nearly the same play on 4th down and Feeley again put it right where it needed to be. At least give the guy credit for that.
Luck had absolutely nothing to do with it. It was well executed.
