Where does Matt Moore fit in Miami?

Everyone's got red-hot QB fever (me too!!), BUT ....

Good chance Moore might start or play in a few games ... with our OL, no QB has completed a season in quite a while (& we're not the only team!!)

Moore backing up is better than most teams backups!! We can trust him not to wreck our season!!

as well as he played last year Im not convinced that he can play like that again. He was good last year dreadful the previous year , so we shall see.

Maybe he can hold a ****in clipboard in his last season with miami? How many times does the coach owner and gm need to mention needing and wanting a better qb, before it starts to set in

if we get peyton manning, he will be holding a clipboard like any qb would behind peyton.

if no peyton, who knows, im not buying into all the flynn hype like every single person because of one good game on a 15-1 team vs a horrible secondary.

its funny how when we started 0-7, while everyone was discussing getting luck or barkley, no one even mentioned flynn as a fall back option if all fails, but now due to 1 great game, everyone here drools over him.

Not everyone, Manning or RG3 is who we should be targeting

like matt moore did not have his best games against bad secondaries

I kind of feel that Moore is getting a raw deal. He didn't suck, IMO.

How is he getting a raw deal, so because he played well last year we should just hitch our wagon to him, didnt work out to well for carolina the previous year

Matt Moore will be our back up QB this next year because of his 2 million dollar contract he is a good guy for the money.

I want Moore to start this year unless we get Payton. I'm actually shocked at how little credit Moore is getting from our front office and fans. There is no reason to say that he can't become a franchise QB. There is also no reason to think that he won't play as well or better next year. So that would mean he would be at least the 12th rated QB. I will take that over an unproven Flynn any day of the week. Especially on Sundays.

with a lot less talent around him then flynn.

even if thats your argument, fine, but no one here thinks moore should just be handed the starting job, unlike many people who actually think flynn deserves to be a starter without competition based on his tiny sample size.

lets upgrade, but when we say upgrade, that actually means ''upgrade'' not bring in a different name who most likely is on the same talent level if not worse than what we have already.

Well that's one way to look at it, although incidentally, as dreadful as he admittedly sometimes was in '10, he did play in 35% of the games but contributed 50% of the wins. :idk:

I think a fair way to consider Moore is by fractionalizing his experience:
09, over 5 games was very good for a bad team
10: over 6 games was very bad for a very bad team
11: first 6 games including the 5 he started: ranged from bad to mediocre without any first team reps before being pressed into service
11: 2nd 7 games: was average to pretty damn good.

So overall, using '10 in a vacuum to indict his skills without indicting a terrible lameduck coach, and godawful team is just 25% of the equation - if that considering the extenuating circumstances IMO.

actually it would be 33 percent of the equation. You cant just select the games in 2011 which you think should be the ones that count.
As for terrible lameduck coach, he never had a season close to as bad as the one where he made Matt moore the starter and didnt Moore play well for a lame duck truly terrible coach last year. And the carolina teams talent on offense was quite decent just their runningbacks got banged up but they still had perennial pro bowler Steve Smith. So James Stewart, Deangelo Williams Steve Smith and a line that included Gross and Kalil.
Im not down on Moore Im quite wanting to see if he can continue playing like he did last year but damn sure dont want to hand him the starting job, if he earns it fine.
Im definately not convinced but akso have an open mind. I think we should do everything possible to make sure we haved qb covered this year
