No. 28: Miami Dolphins

Thoughts: ESPN’s panel sees too many questions about the direction of Dolphins. Is rookie Ryan Tannehill the long-term solution quarterback? Is Joe Philbin a viable head coach? Is Pro Bowl left tackle Jake Long staying in Miami beyond 2012? There are a lot of questions in Miami. The Dolphins aren’t ready to compete now, and they have to make a lot of the right moves in order to compete in the future. Only the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns had lower rankings than the Dolphins in these future Power Rankings.

That is right, three years from now Walker and ESPN see the Dolphins as the 28th team in the league. Seems they have ran out of preseason projections for the 2012 season so they can bash the Dolphins, so now they are predicting years down the road. Unreal.

Yeah, saw the article this morning. These ESPN guys are annoying.

this guy is a joke. every since he took over he hasnt had one positive thing to say about the phins. what happened to the other guy.

How do these guys have jobs? Seriously!!!

Was ESPN offseason reporting equally as bad in the 70's, 80's, 90's???

It shouldn't, but it does. The constant polls and rankings by Walker and others at ESPN that seem to be made for the ability just to bash the Dolphins is nauseating.
post something on his blog.. I did the other night and was getting blasted by the ESPN mindless followers.

Why do people keep posting this guy's articles? It's obvious that he's going out of his way to talk **** about the Dolphins.

That is pure trash. A very stupid, inane, immature, amateurish piece of drivel. The idea that any moron sits there and decides this is worthy of using brain cells to write as an article is beyond stupid. We're talking weapons grade, Snooki, Paris Hilton, stupid.

I love the hire of coach Philbin. I believe he will be able to right the ship. But if I was a non-phins fan I probably wouldn't project Miami much higher...Saban, Cam, Sparano...none could do the job of turning the franchise around after it got run down under the Wanny era. Our GM is entering his 5th year and the Dolphins record has been heading in the wrong direction...11-5, 7-9, 7-9, 6-10.

Of course, Tannehill will be the key. If he develops into an upper echelon QB then Miami significantly improves. If not, in the 20's is about right.

I absolutely love it when they don't see you coming. Best article of the year. Keep em comin ESPN and Walker, yep, jus keep em comin.

Walker is a joke. He was a joke as the AFC North blogger too. I was really hoping that when Graham left, ESPN would get a real journalist to cover the AFC East.

I'm pretty sure he says at the beginning of the article that those are rankings put together by a panel of analysts at ESPN. So those aren't HIS particular rankings. He's just letting us know where they ranked the AFCE teams.

Here's the first sentences of the article.

On Wednesday ESPN put together an expert panel to determine which team will is poised to dominate in 2015.

That is three years and four seasons from now.

Here is how things shaped up in the AFC East:

Why are we wanting to always kill the messenger.

Alot of these types of threads the last few years & they've been somewhat accurate ... at least more accurate than false.

We won't get respect until we can climb above .500 & stay there .... tough this year with new coaches & new schemes on both sides of the ball ... only an easy schedule helps us.
