Rumors had it they were going to interview Jets offensive coordinator..Marty's son
 
Not to take this thread off topic, and I stuck it because I knew it would garner alot of interest, but, why would the Jets let him go, or even approve a meeting? He did phenomenally with them this season.

They don't have a choice. He is being offered advancement(OC to HC). NFL Rules state they have to let him interview if he's interested.

I was advised this may not be true. Sorry should have looked before posting. If anything it may be more out of respect. I'm looking into it now



EDIT: I didn't find anything disagreeing with my original post, so I'm ASSUMING that to be truth. If anyone can provide facts for/against that please share. Thanks.
