This guy was the bomb last year. This year he's getting owned by rookie and second string right tackles... Did his success go to his head? Is he a one-trick pony who everyone now knows how to handle? His performance (or lack there of) has been one of the biggest surprises to me this year. Our under-performing secondary is suffering because he's getting *****-slapped by people most of us have never even heard of. It's ****ing pathetic and if he doesn't do a 180 this season (and soon) then they need to release his sorry ***.

Edit: Yes, I know I spelled disappearing wrong. I realized it too late, sue me.
 
Meh he started to fade late last year..Dude is still a monster..

He just has no help what so ever....No one is getting any rush.. besides him..

Kind of missing the point of a message board, aren't you person who joined in 2011 with a whopping 36 posts calling me a stranger? Go look up the definition of the word "rhetorical" and try again.
 
Why would we release him when we have far worse players like Misi, Trusnik, and Taylor?
 
3 sacks in four games is disappearing...well i guess than koa misi is nothing more than a shadow
 
Wake is one of the few players you can't really complain about. It is premature wanting him gone.
 
The also need to start being creative how they use the guy geez some suggestion

1) Line him and JT on the same time
2) delayed blitz from the middle
3) he uses his speed rush wide and a blitz on the inside of his pass rush

just some quick thought
 
He is played his fanny off this year. He is the best defender.
 
Agree with those who say he's playing his *** off. Stats dont tell the entire story, the guy is one of the few players on this team that is doing more then just going through the motions. Even then, his stats aren't really bad.

I dont understand why these threads pop up. How can you single out any one player to blame? Much less a guy thats actually performing. Our entire team is not only playing like crap but they are not in shape and do not seem to care during games. How many times this season have we seen defenders miss tackles because they dont seem to want to wrap up their opponent?

Wake is fine.
Dansby and Soliai are playing lazy.
Reshad Jones and Nolan Carroll are just bad.
 
He's probably the MVP of what's been a terrible D. Wake while having a bad start is still playing better than anyone on that defense, which is pretty sad.
