I have so many great memories of Dan, but I'll never forget the worst moment in his spectacular career.. Driving home from FSU on a Sunday afternoon, a day after watching the Hurricanes get spanked by Charlie Ward and the Seminoles. The Dolphins were playing the Browns and through the static I could hear Rick Weaver calling the game.. Change channels during a commercial for a second then go back to the Dolphins broadcast.. All I hear is Weaver saying that it looks really bad for Marino, that he just fell and that the early indication was that the injury could be catastrophic and season ending. At the moment the anger and shock that went through my body almost had me crying. I could not imagine watching a Dolphins game without Marino, my role model growing up, the greatest QB in the history of mankind. To make matters worse, Mitchell comes in the game and immediately throws an INT that was returned for a TD. The rest of the drive was pure hell, as was the end of that season when we lost in week 16 with the platyoffs on the line :(

I was at a sports bar that day and remebering a Steelers (one) fan cheer about the injury. His three other friends asked him whats wrong with him and that you never cheer for an injury. One of his buddies got really upset at his friend. I bought a copy of that game and still remember Scott Michells first pass.....It went for a 90 TD....................the other way.

Working at a department store in Milford, MA called THE FAIR. It's out of business now. I was 17 or 18 at the time and crushed. That was a very good team we had that season that was just decimated by injury.

I was 21 in a dorm room with a beer, watching the game, and about fricking broke the tv. We were just starting to roll that year, man, we would have been in the super bowl I think. Then yeah, Mitchell comes in and throws the UPS return to sender crap. We won, but it wasn't worth the cost.

I was at a theme park with my girlfriend (now my wife), we had free tickets just for that day. I taped the game but had a message on my machine. "Don't watch the game". It was wierd, I never missed the games, it was really thought prevoking. I was blamed (for real) by my buddies. When I got married it turned out to be on a bye week (Sept. 23, 1995). We planned it about 8 months ahead of time, again, made me think. Oh by the way, I sent Danny a invite (he didn't show or I'd still be boasting). Back to the game....It was like a death of a friend.

I was about 8-9 years old and was there for my first ever Dolphins game. Unfortunately I was born in Cleveland. But anyways all I remember is my mom got up to go to the bathroom or something and while she was gone Marino went down. All the Browns fans around me were barking and going nuts when he went down. I sat there silent with the rest of my family and fellow Dolfans. When my mom came back she was pretty much in tears since she had seen it on TV. It was a horrible moment.

But there was some good to this day. The Dolphins won and a security guard allowed us back into the exit of the Dolphins lockeroom. We got tons of autograph's and my mom got to shake Don Shula's hand. It was amazing. Of course Marino didn't come out because of the injury. I'll never forget that day. Man I am ready for Canton! GO DOLPHINS!

I was watching the game at home. I was a HS senior and all I could think of was how the season was over. Ironically, we went on a run culminated by that dramatic Thanksgiving Day game vs. the Cowboys. We were 9-2 and on top of the football world. Then all of those injuries and we wound up losing 5 in a row and didn't even make the playoffs.

I was sitting in a sports bar in Ventura, CA (Garfields), and remember yelling at the TV "Get up Dan, get up!" Funny thing was we were still rolling with Mitchell at QB for the next few weeks. Then after beating Dallas on Thanksgiving, I thought we still had a shot at the playoffs, or maybe the AFC East title...but then the wheels fell off completely and we dropped what...4 or 5 in a row to miss out on the postseason completely. I remember wondering if Marino would even make back at all from that injury, but Week 1 of the `94 season laid to rest any thoughts of him coming back as any less of a player than he was before the injury. Man, I miss that guy more than ever!

In the stands with a buddy of mine hearing some of the crowd cheer Marino's injury. Almost got into a couple of fights cause fans were "barking" in my face when mitchell threw the pick for a TD and then almost got into a couple more in the second half when I walked up and down the aisle yelling "we're beating you with our f-in second string."

At the game. Yes I was there the day he did it. I remember I was in the endzone seats opposite the side of teh field he went down, me and my buddy ran inside teh concourse so we could see on teh monitors.

I was watching the game in my living room in horror. I already hated the so called sport of baseball and dual-use stadiums, but this put me over the edge. F-baseball and the sorry *** grounds crew in Cleveland. If they laid that sod correctly, this conversation never exists and Marino gets more time in his prime to win a ring. Just thinking about this pisses me off all over again.

So you went to FSU? I graduated in 97 from the engineering school. Go Noles!

I was sitting at home in Boise, Idaho watching the game on TV. Every year one sunday Phin game would get broadcast. The rest of the time i had to watch teams closer to home. So, of course, the one game was this one. I just kept thinking that it wasnt as bad as they thought. Then when Mitchell threw the pick my phone rang and my best friend, who is a Denver fan, called to tell me our year was done. That day sucked!
