Which NFL rb would you consider trading a 1st rounder for right now?
I say
1.Ladanian Tomlinson
2.Priest Holmes
3.Jamal Lewis
4.Duece McAllister/
5.Ahman Green
6.Clinton Portis
7.Shaun Alexander
8.Travis Henry
possibly stephen davis and corey dillon, maybe Bennett

Thoughts? Anybody you think i should add or take off the list?

none of those, except maybe travis henry (but i dont know how good mcgahee is)

kind of a dumb thread...

take them all off the list, itll take more than a first rounder i think.

Uhh...I'd trade a first and then some for every one on that list save for Holmes, Alexander and Henry.

The others are top notch backs who are elite players.

Alexander is good. Henry is not a top notch elite back.

Holmes is a product of the system and O-line. He was merely a decent back with Balt. and they have the best O-lineman of all-time on their team.

Well look at the value you get for a first rounder...

Roughly 35-45% of 1st rounders don't live up to the hype. So you'd end up trading a 1st for any running back who has showed anything - that includes the likes of DeShaun Foster.

Tomlinson for example, would set you back at least two drafts.

Holmes is thinkingof retiring soon too, right?

Besides, reports today said that his hip is still bothering him.

tomlinson would take a first, second, and a first the next year, he has the potential to be the best ever...

Thats it. I don't think I'd give up a 1st for anyone else.

Dude, you're nuts!!!!

I'd do it for every one except Minor!!!

I'd do it for LT.He is the best back in Football. He did great with the crappiest o-line and the crappiest offense in the NFL.No reason he wouldnt do great with us if not better.

Tomlinson is a great back, but he doesn't have the potential to be the greatest ever. Edgerrin James is the most talented back in football, but injuries have slowed him down recently.

Based on what? If he's done one thing in his career it's prove that he has all that talent - and more.

You guys seriously over-rate draft pick value.

L.T. and only L.T

so let me get this right...

you think a rookie is worth more than say Jamal Lewis, Ahamn Green, Deuce Mac or Fred Taylor?

you'd rather have a wildcard pick than any of those top quality RB's?

Crazy.
