I was just wondering since we are all here talking about Ronnie and what the dolphins should be paying him. Which position holds the biggets bust when coming from college ranks to the pro level.
For example

Ryan Leaf - Top notch college QB = Pro Bust
Kijana Carter - Top notch college RB = pro Bust

My gut feeling is RB
What do you guys / gals think
(this does not apply to players who ended there career with injury)

RB is the higher probability to be a bust just because more of them are taken early than the QB. But percentage-wise, I'd say QBs.

I think QBs represent the bigger busts, if only because expectations and hype surrounding them are typically greater.

It seems to me that RB is much easier to judge the intangibles and therefore there aren't as many busts. Why some guys like William Green fail is surprising.

By the way I think Green is a real good back - I just think due to his off the field issues he was not given a fair chance yet. we'll see this year.

Id say QB most of the Rb busts have been do to injuury or personality issues but the QB busts have been because they just cant play.

The only year that Green put up decent stats was the second half of his rookie year. Every other time he has struggled, and Lee Suggs has been a much more competent runner. A runner drafted that high should have natural skills that should easily translate into success, at least easier than QB.

I agree with you that he should have performed better based on hit abilities that we know he has. I just think that once Butch Davis loss his truct in him I think Green went down the drain. Something must have happened in Cleveland over the off season because at 1st Romeo wanted to get rid of him and now he seems like he is back to being part of the team. I would like to see how things turn out for him this year.

From what I hear, Suggs appears to be the one who will get the starting job. I hate Cle., but it's about time they settle on a runner.
