I don't know if the real catalyst was a Coach or GM.... I still go back to Ricky walking out on the team on the night of training camp. Up until that time the Dolphins were relevant, after that the team fell apart.
DW traded two number ones for him, but it looked well worth it those first couple seasons..

Huizenga is a good choice. The guy made nothing but bad move after bad move. Hiring JJ was reasonable, even if he handled Shula's departure poorly. But allowing himself to the talked into hiring Wanny, not firing Wanny after 2002, hiring Cameron just because he was the hot name out there, and finally paying an over the hill Parcells a dumptruck full of money to be a consultant and hire his incompetent buttboys to run things really sank the knife into the heart of this franchise.

And while Wanny definitely underachieved and squandered talent and screwed up the draft, he too often gets used as a scapegoat for the franchise's current sorry state. In reality, this team could have been rebuilt twice in the time since Wanny's departure and nobody's found a way to do that yet (starting with Saban and his drafts which rank among the worst in team history).

I went with Cam, even though we weren't good when he got here, he made the dolphins the butt of all football jokes that year and that reputation has stuck!!

A vote for Wrongstedt is really a vote for JJ, whereas a vote for Sparano or Ireland are votes for Parcells.

Yes this is why I picked Parcells. JJ hired one moron. Parcells hired two. And why did we have to end up with the biggest moron from his coaching tree..

Dumbstadt no doubt. His marriage to noodle arm, horrible coaching and draft picks. Bad management of getting rid of Dan. Remember the lobster trap? The epitomy of buffoonery.

AS is correct though, all the candidates have a lot to offer in running our Fins into the state we are in. Hopefully all this will be a bad memory soon.

Parcells! Ireland, Meatball, and every other action was fruit from the poisonous tree! If Huezinga hadn't brought in that fat mercenary none of the other happens.

I probably would have gone for Huizenga if he was listed. That led to an avalanche of disasters.

Mr H and Steve Ross should definitely be choices.

In the grand scheme, I would probably have to go with Mr H as well had he been a choice. I voted Parcells.

There is reason I said when Parcells left we shouldve fired Ireland and Sparano. So long as anything Ireland touched is still with this franchise(including Philbin and Tannehill), the stench of tuna remains.
