Which Running Back Are we gonna Cut COme June !st

I don't see Minor staying unless he beats out KJ.

This question is easier if you look at their worth.
1. Ronnie Brown-won't be cut.
2. Ricky williams- won't be cut.
3. Travis Minor- Quick, a little shifty, not very powerful. probably will be cut because ronnie, ricky and sammy can all do this.
4. Kay-jay harris- Big back, good speed, best back we have for those short yardage situations. especially since heath evans and jamar martin are better blockers than ball carriers.
5. lamar gordon - good speed, good size, but nothing very special about him.
6. sammy moris. fiesty.

i think minor will be cut, and moris. minor we dont need. morris makes about 600,000k. we might need that money. or they could cut jamar martin possibly and switch minor back to fullback.

Jamar Martin is as good as gone.

I say we keep Minor.

We then trade Morris and Gordon for 3rds next year. If too much to ask for then we trade them for 4ths. I believe Gordon and Morris have value to just cut them. So trade them. Thus giving us hopefully 2 extra 4th's next year which we could use to possibly get a 3rd or something. Leaving us with

Ronnie Brown
Ricky Williams
Travis Minor
Kay Jay Harris are our new RB'S

MarTin and Evans our FB'S

You've been playing too much Madden 2005. :roflmao:

I really don't think Travis Minor is going to be kept around just because he is a good Special Teams player. I think Minor will be cut and we'll keep Lamar Gordon and Kay Jay Harris.

Brown + Williams + Gordon + Harris (Practice Squad after Ricky serves his suspension) = Helluva RB core

Morris and Evans will probably make the team too. Minor is probably going to be the odd man out.

If Feeley or Frerotte is merely average (QB rating in the 77-83 range or so), we don't get hit with the injury bug, and our O-line manages to jell, we ought to have a much better offense this year. If all of that happens and Ricky comes back in AAA shape (Anything is possible!) then we might make a lot of noise on the offensive side of the ball.

I hate that statement. It is so stupid.

Oh smart one enlighten me as to why it is Madden to think u can get a 4th for a RB of their quality. Specifically to a team that could use a RB. If you are in reference to the 3rd, well as I even stated that might be too much.

But please explain why teams needing a RB would not give up a future 4th for one of these guys. They are cheap, Morris is proven with great versatility of FB as well, while Gordon is also cheap as well as having starter potential.:shakeno:

Also, I don't play Madden the game is horrible.

The Phins traditionally carry five backs on the roster (although with Saban that might change). If thats the case, Brown, Gordon, and Minor start the year as the HBs while Evans and Morris are the fullbacks. If Ricky comes back week 5, he replaces Minor since there is no need for him with Morris and Ricky as the brusing goal line runners and Brown and Gordon as the quicker/receiving backs, should Saban choose to go with somewhat of a committee.

As for Harris, theres a reason he wasn't drafted people. Stop getting your hopes up.

R. Williams.. :roflmao:

but seriously, i bet you cut:
Gordan and minor

Minor will go IMO. Gordon may get a second bite of the cherry when hes fully fit. He had an injury when he came to us last season. Hes been highly rated from what ive heard off Rams fans. I for one wanna see what he can do. What do we have to lose? Minor cant cut it as a second down back. Last season proved that.
