Wow. I know this loss sucks, it was my first game ever at SunLife but reading all this is just unbelieveable. Have you even watched the game or just looked at the stats after the game?
On the Dolphins' last drive in the first half, 3rd and 5, Tannehill throws to a wide open Rishard Matthews who cannot hang on to the ball. Drop, punt, Jets drive down to score their 2nd touchdown just before halftime.
With the score Jets 14, Dolphins 7, Tannehill throws a perfect pass to Wallace into the endzone and Wallace drops it. If Wallace hangs on to the ball, Tannehill's first interception (it was on the ensuing play) never happens. That's how receivers are supposed to help their QBs. Yes, Tannehill overthrew Wallace on a pass play in the first quarter but who's to say he can't make mistakes? He made some today but not a single one of his mistakes cost us the game.
The last two interceptions Tannehill threw were when he tried to bring us back from a two-score-deficit. Who did he throw to? A limping Mike Wallace, Rishard Matthews and Marlon Moore. Because we had no other receiver available.
How about the receivers making a play for Tannehill? When Charles Clay scored that amazing touchdown against the Steelers it was all his, no credit for Tannehill. On that touchdown today Tannehill throws a perfect pass even Wallace couldn't drop, all that with a defender about to level him just one second after snapping the ball.
You guys never cease to amaze me. You want to blame Tannehill for a 20-yard run because it was 3rd and 21? How about the pro bowl center that committed a holding penalty to bring us in that 3rd and long position? How about the playcalling on the next play when we came up short on 4th and 1?
Tell me, what do you expect from Tannehill? That he throws, blocks, catches and runs at the same time? He is really the least of our offensive problems and it's so obvious, everyone that knows football will see it.
