Who do you want us to draft in the 1st round?

You guys that want a LT ... we only get that if we trade up. All the 1st rounders will be gone by 19. Better to snag a play maker (on O or D) and go after that LT in round 2. Of course FA is an option as well.

that's just not true.

Oline would be my first choice, along with a stud RB

Miller and Thomas suck big time

I'd argue that the "stud RB" will be there next year. Not this year. Though Miami could easily find a RB in the third that is probably better...

My rule last draft season was we should 'draft to Tannehill'. We so didn't do that last year so again, 'Draft to Tannehill". If we are drafting to meet the needs of Tannehill we have to draft towards exactly that....needs. Oline is a bigger need than any position we have period. If 2 holes are not filled in FA then we draft best olinemen. So, as it stands now, we draft LT. I love ebron and amaro and would draft either one if we fill holes on the oline in FA.

what's van noy gonna play in the pros??? solb in a 43 is what it looks like to me in our system...with us signing misi long term i don't see it...but i like van noy...he's a nice looking blitz get home prospect with good instincts and can shift outside over a pass catcher in coverage...looks like a patriots type prospect they would covet to me

agreed thy need to build around the qb and fortify the protection and play up front first and foremost...if they do that in free agency then great we can use the draft to get more skill talent...if not gotta get some youth and talent that fit the scheme hogs wise

I'd look at Greg Robinson out of Auburn. Good run blocker and nice athleticism to project as a pass blocker. With the two game meltdown, Miami may be in range to get him. Cameron Irving is another guy who looks interesting. Cyril Richardson may be nice if Miami signs a LT in free agency like the Collins kid from the Bengals.

Beyond that, Kyle Van Noy or Ryan Shazier are good linebackers. Van Noy has that Jack Ham feel to him.

Jace Amaro would be a fun pick but I don't see it happening.

i like that tackle list...robinson is a hell of a move athlete...we dont get to see enough pass pro cause of that o but he's quite an athlete...irving is interesting also and both seem to be great fits for our from an athlete and movement aspect

i like shazier also but i think he tackles high at times like a safety...needs to wrap up more

Erving would be nice & he could fall. Though, Richardson could still be on the board.

Granted, He wasn't asked to do it much. Van Noy IMO is adequate in coverage. Fua (#5 Jr) I thought was the better all around LB for byu.

I have seen mocks where Van Noy goes to Nola as well as The Pats.

Not sure if this guys has been mentioned, but I think Andre Williams from Boston College would be the perfect compliment to Lamar Miller. Cut Daniel Thomas' ass and draft Williams to replace him. Not sure what round Williams is projected, but I'd like to see the best Tackle available with our first round pick and Williams with our 2nd rounder.

Just watched some highlights on the kid and he is constantly moving his legs in the pile and falling forward for extra yards. He also runs over people just about every time he touches the ball. His long strides also seem like it would be more difficult to tackle.

I say we should draft the best QB on the board at the time. Tannehill looks like he might be a franchise QB, but certainly hasn't proven it yet. Moore certainly isn't a franchise QB. Devlin's had his shot and hasn't been able to get on the field. You keep drafting QB each year until you have a franchise QB.

If we get a new decent GM, we should be able to get starting OL talent in the second and third rounds.

Like last year when everybody was saying we were taking a receiver in the first few rounds. This year it's the TE... I don't see it happening. Not a real need.

We need cornfed, at the very least 2 in the first 4 picks , DT in there in between, LB, RB, then TE. Clay, Sims, another cheap vet (Keller back maybe??), Egnew and a late rounder would be just fine going into camp.
