Who here wants Forrest Lamp? I do!

I'm with you. Although if I was putting them in order, I would go Reddick, Foster and then Lamp. As I don't expect either LB to be there, Lamp likely is my choice.

I'm always in favor of a trade down so that is what I am hoping for most of all.

Yup same here. Although I like Foster ahead of Reddick even though he's a dummy.

A trade down is quite possible.

I think it's a must if we are targeting those DEs.

Yes Lamp is compared to Zach Martin and fills the one need everyone on this board has said something about for a few years now.

A line of Tunsil, Lamp, Pouncey, Steen/Bushrod, and James would make our offense dangerous which in turn will help our D.

If Lamp is there we have to take him. By no means do I want to draft a boring guard in the 1st rd but he's different and we really NEED not one but two guards.

I trust our FO so lets see what they have in mind. I thought last years draft went well. Tunsil is a stud, Howard looks the part, and Drake will be a huge contributor this year.

What about Cunningham? I'd take him over a DE.

i hear you but the problem is as you implied there never is a sure thing nfl de at 22, those guys typically go top 5

this is the draft class where there actually is legit talent at the position at 22 - and for that reason i think we need to try and capture some of that

Yea I'm putting my hopes on you guys when it comes to those DEs. You all know football and we all have the same common interest-Winning Football Games!! lol

Who would be your DE at 22 hypothetically if you had the choice? Obviously I mean just the guys who may be in that range.

I believe at this point that Lamp will be gone and so will Reddick. Foster might drop but not to 22 imo. I agree all the DE's that could be there at 22 come with question marks but we have to take somebody. Our best move could be moving down and adding a 3rd round pick then we could take one of those dynamic pass rushers and have an extra pick to play with.

Ozzy rules!!

100% agree with you on that. If we're going to go DE, we really should trade down. Grab an extra 3rd or 4th depending on how far.

Roger Goodell advised teams not to draft Collins. That is why nobody touched him. Even with Goodell's warning, I believe I would have still used a late rounder on Collins. I would use a 5th or a 7th on Conley.
Before the season, we will know if the charges are true or not. If they are true, you cut him before training camp.

Dolphins had him in for a visit and you can bet they gave him the psych eval from the Dr.

The problem is the Dolphins went to Lansing to do a private workout with McDowell so we don't know if they did the psych eval. He's like one of the guys you spend all this time doing these evals (him and Foster). If you skip him, why even bother?!?

"In fact, they think highly enough of Michigan State’s Malik McDowell that defensive line coach Terrell Williams traveled to East Lansing, Michigan, on Tuesday for a private workout."

(Unless they did the psych eval at the combine)

Just as Ross wanted to do with Collins, if the charges are true...you just don't sign him.

If lamp is the pick I'm ok with it. Lamp is one intelligent kid, well spoken , high character, talented etc... Reuben foster on the other hand is talented but if you hear him speak not well spoken, sounds like he has a learning disability, he has issues , sry but I want nothing to do with the kid.
I want de but lamp if he's there is the safest pick.
I also believe obi wan is also in play at 22. That kid is a freak.

Armando is saying we don't value guards that high to pick him in round 1. we might take a guard in day 3 of the draft.

Foster seemed like a good kid on first take yesterday talked about his daughter & how his mom passed away.

The top LB's will be gone, the top DE's will be gone too and Lamp is going top 20.......Tbumb is going to trade up and take a WR

That's some huge news. I truly think Mcdowell may be our pick. I love his size and athleticism

Im guessing that Gase still has strong MSU connections. He can probably get a pretty good insider view on McDowell's character and intangibles. If it's a matter of "the kid needs to grow up", that's one thing and likely worth the risk. "Just a bad apple" is not someone to take in first round Im thinking.
