How Old is Garcia is he older or younger than Brunell if he is younger I take him if he could stay healty. But if they are the same age I'll stick with Brunell. Don't forget when San Fran was doing good he had better #'s than Montana and Young he can run and throw. But we probably could not afford him. He also seems to be a nice person easy to work with but I am not for sure.

Garcia wouldn't improve the offense because he can't throw the ball down the field.

Come on guys! We've had enough of the weak armed, dink and dunk passers. This team needs a guy who has enough arm to throw an accurate downfield pass.

Your right good point I really did'nt think about that we also better get some faster recievers except for Chambers or Gadsden if he will take a pay cut. Brunell can throw a pretty pass he reminds me of a left handed Stan Humphries does anybody remember him.

Vaguely, I believed he played for San Diego?

Brunell ,draft a QB and hire Danny Marino as a QB coach then when he is groomed he takes the QB spot (Big Ben) and Marino to be the O-Cordinator:mdfin:

That is the best senario for the current and future plans for the Fins.

Let go of both Fidler & Griese put some of that money into Brunell, F/A's - especially the O-Line

Draft Young gun

Let Sage know he is the new #2 and if he does not cut it he goes as well. That we have no more patience for crap @ the qb position. You get it done or you are done.

Garcia DOB 2/24/70

Brunell DOB 9/17/70

I'm surprised. I'm surprised why so many of you are giving QB M. Brunell so much respect. What has he done????....

I think everyone is still imagining the Brunell of old. The one that had WR's J. Smith and K. McCardell at his disposal, along with a healthy RB F. Taylor. That's no longer the case in Jacksonville...

Since McCardell's departure, he's struggled big time, and being replaced by a rookie QB this year only proves the Jags have lost all confidence in him. I can't blame them really, he's spent IMO....

Jeff Garcia is the man!!!....

Just go and look at the career numbers, and I think you'll agree that Garcia is clearly a superior QB....

Brunell more mobile than Garcia????...  :roflmao:

PHINZ RULE!!!! :fire:

Add to that, his OL wasn't the same...that's why I think we should be focusing on OL...the heart of a O is the OL, then QB, then RB, then WR's.

Where exactly has Brunell fallen off???

Remarkably consisitent and durable, if you ask me ...I see no signs of regression.

Not a big difference in mobility either....

As a matter of fact Brunell has a better rushing average....not by much but, it's not a joke to say Brunell is as mobile as Garcia.....

For comparison....here's Garcia's passing stats....

Obviously Garcia is NOT clearly superior......You can make a case for either/or but you can't make a case that one is superior to the other....
