Who would be your wr # 6

I don't see how you could keep any of them at this point at the expense of releasing a special teams guy like Don Jones. We have a lot of DBs and he will never see the field but the coverage units need all the help they can get.

So much has changed since 2012. I remember back in 2012 we really didn't know which WR's would be starting on the team and now we have too many lol

I wish mbt an freeman would show a little bit of talent so we could get a better grasp of what we have

for a 6th.... i could see Hazel and Byrd being the two options.. .both have some sort of ability, but dont have it all honed together. i like Hazel what he COULD bring more if he works at it.

the only thing is if we kept a 6th WR i hope it would only be for returning specialist reasons... I dont want Landry being the return guy... So Aultman comes in mind for a 6th WR here!!!

otherwise we are definitely only keeping 5 WRs

There is a couple of positions that need to be considered in this conversation brothers. How many RB's will you carry? How many TE's will you carry? Also where does Lippett fit in here?

i think Lippett is fitting in too!!! i may be penciling him in the 53!!! or with pen???

Yea most definitely . . . . too much upside/potential to ignore. It feels like we are fielding a team of midgets at CB, so it'll be nice to develop a guy with some size. You try to stash him on the PS you will end up regretting that move.

I think 4 RBs and 3 TEs (we'll eventually find a third guy even if he's not on the roster right now) will be the standard . . . I think it'll boil down to things like, do we keep that 11th or 12th DB, do we keep that 7th or 8th LB. How much depth do we want to keep on the OL? Do we want 10 guys taking up roster spots on the OL? It has burned us in the past by keeping less because you are asking guys like Dallas Thomas to play tackle and Nate Garner to play Center when injuries happen.

I think 5 WRs are fine (assuming health of Parker and Stills), and I'm pretty confident you can stash one or two of them on the PS if need be.

Great post bro. I agree we only keep five WR's and put one or two on the PS.

why not preston matt hazel is not reliable and could probably go on ps, same with byrd

Preston was invisible on Thursday . . . he has calmed down since the pads came on. The drop off from Matthews to #6 is a severe one . . . . which is why Aultman has a legit shot as the #6 guy because he is clearly the best returner out of the group.

Seriously, if Parker and Stills were healthy, there would be no #6 WR conversation, the conversation would be for which guys make the practice squad.
