give him a shot, also give Rosenfels a shot too, we have 3 game left and are pretty much set on Fuerotte being our starter

i htink he equally earned a shot with sage, i think sage should be with the first string on saturday then we should give brock a shot if he does good wiht the second team and let gus sit out a game, just a suggestion
I don't think Gus should sit out. If anything he needs more time with the 1st to develop timing and rhythm with the rec. and TEs. You don't take time away from that just to see if someone has a sliver of a chance to maybe become anything. If Berlin has got something he'll work his way up through the depth chart like most QBs who were late round/undrafted players. I'm sure if Saban believed Berlin was ready for something like this he would put him in there.

MOST of us think even AJ could score a touch down against 3rd team defenses.

I would actually vote not to keep either of them and get some decent talent in the organization but MOST of us don't make those calls, and MOST of us have to live with The stupid decision Rick and Dave made to bring Feeley here.

I say give him a shot let's see whats he's got. Ya never know till ya see him with the real players. Then we will know if he can take the heat or not!

you also bring up a great point, i think thats why we need to not think of brock on the first string becuase gus needs his time with them good point

i would like to see him taking my order at mcdonalds. there is no way that berlin is an NFL qb. he was not really a decent college QB

You know what is CRAZY? 64 pct of the people polled want to keep Berlin over Feeley, yet its 50/50 when it comes to letting Berlin have a few series in a perseason game over Feeley! LOL!

LOL I understand practice is very important, but if Gus missing 2 series is gonna make or break his season, we are screwed anyway and I should get the chance to start.

In would like to see him just to see how he does, but it is way to early to even think about starting him. Hopefully we can sign him to our practice squad or keep him on our active roster and see how he developes and maybe this is something that is more probable next season.

Good comment, but why not let him have 2 series?

Brock will be lucky to make the practice squad. The guy couldn't break the starting lineup at Florida, always was the whipping boy for the 'Canes fans, scored the lowest ...that's right, the lowest.. of everyone taking the Wonderlic test, and wasn't drafted, at all, by any teams. Remember Mr. Insignificant? Well Brock wasn't as good as him! Now you want him to waste our valuable pre-season time to "give him a chance." We've got a new coach, new OC, new system, new rookie players, etc, etc. We have a lot to get done in a short time. Now is not the time to give playing time to people for giggles. My son got good grades last semester, can he try?

It's preseason. Our biggest problem on the offense ( Skill player Wise) is once again QB and has been since Marino's retirement in 2000. It looks like we beat in the Feeley deal, and most of us are satisified with what Frerrote has shown us the past few weeks.

Nobody on this board was excited about brining in Brock Berlin. IM sure nobody on the Pats board was excited when they drafted Tom Brady in the 6th round a few years ago either. Am I saying Berlin is Brady? Of course NOT! Am I saying there is a chance that teams find good players late in the draft or after its over? Sure, look at Ogun. Undrafted FA.

We all agree on this. Brock has looked sharp during the limited time he has had to play. Better than anyone on this board thought he would look and his POISE has been great for a Rookie.

Why not let him play a few series with the first team O and VS some real talent out there? I can't help to think this has crossed Saban's mind also. What if he turns out to be the best option? Or at least shows enough promise that he can and wants to take the top spot one day, unlike this clip board holder SAGE, who only wants to play during preseason. Anyone remember Rosenwhored vs the Packers a few years back? HORRIBLE!

If it happens it probably will be the last preseason game of the year.

Give me a break, im not trying to be negative towards anybodys post but this one berlin starting for us is the most rediculous ive ever seen. I realize that Brady was a 6th round choice, but come on what are the chances of a dimond in the rough like that again. He had ONE good pre-season game against a team that does not have much depth when putting in their 2nd and 3rd string defenders. Brock didn't even have a great college career, and Ray Lucas pulled off better pre-season stats than him. He will be a decent NFL backup at the peak of his career.. lets not pull the trigger and get too excited!

He had 2 good games And has looked better than Gas and Feeley

If your son can throw the deep out pass consistently then I say give him a shot. Don't be so hard on the kid, if I remember correctly our first round pick wasn't able to crack the starting lineup with his college team either.
