Who would you pick as our top 5 players this year?

I would say

Grimey
Clay
OV
RT
Odrick

Honorable mentions:

Clemons(very improved), Wake, Hartline, Fields, McKinney, Carrol (bc he has gotten so much better)

This is crazy but who wants to speculate on our best 5 players next year?? I'll start

Wake
RT
Wallace
Grimes
Patterson

I would say Keller if he is healthy and back

1) RT. Has pretty much been the offense in some way ALL year long.
2) Hartline. RT's go to guy, gets the most out of his abilities and usually very sure handed.
3) Wallace. Like somebody else mentioned, defensive coordinators still respect him and that opens up somebody else.
4) Clay. I think we have something here folks.
5) Grimes. He has surpassed what I expected him to do coming back from an Achilles injury and really has become the closest thing to a shut down corner we have had in a while.

I think it's a hard list to compile with others that could be easily inserted in there and get no arguments from me. A few of the big uglies on the dline should be on there as we wouldn't even be .500 without some of the great plays being made on that side of the ball. It's not like we are a scoring machine and yet we have been in every game except one. And even our punter has flipped the field in very crucial moments for us. Anyway, while we do need help along the oline and at the linebacker spot, we do have some pretty solid players moving forward to work with.

Was waiting to see if someone else would put Gibson in there. Sucks he got hurt because he was on his way to having a huge year.

RT
Gibson
Odrick
Wake
Grimes

I dont think Patterson will be on the team next year.

1) Brent Grimes
2) Patterson (When he can play.....Which is NEVER)
3) Charles Clay
4) Ryan Tannehill
5) Brandon Fields

By top 5 players I would be picking the 5 that make the biggest impact in terms of helping us win:
1 Tannehill. QB is so important to a team but Tannehill has played really well this year, quite a few game winning drives and at times the only thing working on our O.
2 Grimes. Usually covering the team's best WR, seems such an easy going player but has matched up really well.
3 Wake. Teams have to gameplan against him and he basically won the Bengals game for us.
4 Wallace. I see some mentioning Gibson and I can understand that, but I think Wallace opens up the field for Gibson, Hartline and now Matthews too. He is what makes the other three look as good as they do.
5 Clay. Wanted to go for one of our 3 DTs but all have been good with none separating themselves from the other 2. Clay has been a great outlet receiver for Tannehill.

Can't believe how many of you guys put Mike Wallace on the top 5 list after a couple of decent games and want to give him credit for the other WR's production. Hartline went over 1,000 yards last year without Wallace and with a rookie QB. Mike Wallace is still in my doghouse...

Some intersting picks to say the least. I liked what Gibson WAS doing too but I'mnot picking a guy who has only play 3 or 4 games. Same with Wake. He's been hurt, missed some games and played ome other not at 100%.......in a healthy year he'd be at the top of the list but not this year. Same for Patterson.

Ozzy rules!!

Either Hartline or Fields. Fields is arguable the best punter in the NFL but lets be honest, you would take him over Clay?

I'd not tae him over Clay if I was starting to make a team from scratch. However, with our offense not being very good our punter helps a lot by pushing the other team down which helps the defense a great deal too. But I can see why many people would have Clay on their list.

Besides the obvious sarcastic post, the post all seem reasonable. The fact that we can legitimate have more than 5 players in the conversation is proof to me that we are more talented this year than last year.

1. Grimes
2. Hartline
3. Soliai
4. O. Vernon
5. Fields
