Who would you rather face in round 1 and on what day?

Dolphins are 1-0 on jan. 5th in the playoffs.

Dolphins are 1-1 on don shula's and my birthday , jan. 4th. We beat the browns for my lone dolphins victory, birthday celebration in '85. The defeat was when penny stunk it up vs ravens.

Considering we haven't lost on the 5th, I would prefer to play on Sunday. The colts we be an ideal matchup for us without the weather being a factor.

Also we are:
3-0 vs chiefs in the playoffs
2-0 vs colts
1-0 vs bengals
1-2 vs patriots
0-1 vs broncos

We beat the Bengals at Cincy last season right?

Honestly I'll be happy to play at Cincy or Indy. Beating the Colts would be personally awesome for me because I grew up in Indiana and have a ton of friends that are COlts friends. Would be great to beat them twice in one season

Yes we did, in the first week of October.

I have a lot of family in Indiana and they are all colts fans. Two wins over the colts this year would be incredible.
 
I'm just hoping we get in and knock the Ravens out. Hopefully this will get the Ravens playoff monkey off our back (referring to us getting beaten by the Ravens in our last 2 playoff games). I would take any of those 3 teams tbh with no issues. We have shown that we can take any of them. Let's just beat the Jets and get our asses into the playoffs.
 
Was just looking at Bengals playoff tickets. There is a pretty sweet pair for just over 200 each.
 
Friends, why are you trying to jinx us? Let's make the playoffs before we discuss who would be the best draw.
 
I would like to face the Colts or the Chiefs. They are the best match up for the Fins. Playing the Patriots at home will be a quick exit, same with Cincinnati and Denver.
All of those teams can score 30+ points. We cannot score more than 24 points a game.

Tickets for Miami at cincy would be cheaper than Miami at Indy. Since I live outside of cincy I would attend either on whatever day they play.
Gotta beat the Jets first.

Personally, I would rather play the Colts for several reasons......

1) IMHO they are the weakest team in the AFC playoffs

2) We have already proven we can beat them on the road(the Pats and Bengals are both undefeated at home btw)

3) I think if the Pats get the 2nd seed, the Colts game is the one that will be played on CBS on Sunday.

Reasons I would rather play on Sunday.....

1) Its my birthday. The Phins have historically performed well on my birthday. In fact, one of Marino's great victories came in the playoffs vs. the Chiefs on my birthday. Dan lead the phins on TWO 4th qtr TD drives to give the phins a 17-16 victory.

2) The extra day. Playing on the road a day earlier could be a factor, but since we have played all 3 teams before, perhaps not as much.

FWIW, the Saturday game would be on Don Shula's birthday.

If it comes down to it, I think CBS would take the Pats game on Sunday. But, if the Pats this week they will have a 1st round bye. That should happen. So that leaves the Bengals and Colts. I just think the CBS team would take the Colts game because of Andrew Luck. The Bengals game would be less marketable and likely played on Saturday on NBC.

Now, for the Bengals not to be the 2 or 3 seed, they would have to lose to Baltimore, which puts us in a tough spot of having to hope the Chargers win at 4pm. While Im pretty sure the Chargers will win, I cant actively root for the Ravens knowing that it would knock us out if the Chargers did lose. The Chiefs are going to rest guys and SD will still be playing for a winning season in front of the home crowd...... that does matter to those guys. The Chiefs have accomplished plenty this season and that game matters nothing to them.

It likely wont matter because I expect the Bengals to crush the Ravens. Its going to be a tough order for us to beat them on the road if they are 8-0 at home and coming off a couple of blowouts back to back in that building.

And before anyone comes in here and says....... "BUT we have to get there first!!" I have a message for you..............

I can't imagine colts losing to jaguars unless they rest their starters which they might if they don't care about seeding between 3 and 4. Though, the colts would still get the no.2 seeding I think if pats and bengals both lose, so they still might go all out with their starters. So it most likely would be fins vs bengals or vs ravens. Patriots seem to have the bills number and its at new england I think. I think miami can beat pats, but I rather miami not play the pats, because the the officiating bias that happens at new england. Its one thing if miami was playing the pats at miami. I know the bengals are undefeated, but I think fins match up fairly well to them, so I think fins can beat them and give them their only loss. If cardinals can do it to the seahaws who I think are still the best at home, then fins definitely can. The fins that have to show up are the fins that beat the patriots and not the fins that showed up against the bills last week.
 
I say let's just do it , bring on the Broncos, whynput off tomarrow what we cam do today, you never know what could happen ,we might just smash them in the mouth, bring on the best no beating around the bush, any day is fine , weather is no concern.just my opion.
