Tough question. What this boils down to is the staffs real feelings about Tannehill. If they still think he can become a franchise QB you ride it out for the season. If they truly don't believe it may as well make the switch now. We could very well win a low scoring game vs the Raiders and it could be just the fools gold needed to waste more games on Ryan Tannehill (waste assumes they don't believe in him). Also better to get Moore acclimated vs the Raiders going into a bye week then the better competition that is coming down the pipe. I am not happy with the way Tannehill has played and unsure I believe he is a franchise QB. Philbin has been working with him for 3 seasons, he shouldn't be unsure, he should know. He needs to trust what he has seen and know to make this decision. It's a no brainer either way:
1. If he sees Tannehill as a franchise QB who is slumping in a new offense and not getting any help by the guys around him, you play him. No questions asked.
2. If after 35 games you know he's not your franchise QB, make the switch, unless of course you think Matt Moore would be worse.
I admit I'd like to see how we look with Moore's deep ball. I concede we'll get more stupid plays from Moore but likely also get more points. That could only be the difference in losing games 45-31 instead on 34-15, you never know.
