C'mon man? Isn't it obvious to you Tannehill isn't taking us anywhere? Why not Moore? He looked good in the offense in preseason.

What's the downside?

The downside is that Moore is not a better qb. There is no upside in benching our more skilled qb for a guy who isn't any better and he even knows it himself.
The coaches see these guys every day why wouldn't it just be so apparent if Moore was a better qb.

This rest of the season will be a very complicated and crucial one for this team.

Even though there is much greater reward with Tannehill then Moore, if Tannehill does continue to regress, it is very doubtful he ever comes back from it, he will not again change direction and all of a sudden start to show progress. he will start doubting himself, he will hear footsteps that are not there, and he will go the direction of Henne and Sanchez.

Moore may give you a better deep ball, and a closer to a finished product, but you will not have any real chance at the playoffs with him, while with Tannehill, if the light does eventually go on (Like it did for players like Drew Brees, Troy Aikman, Eli Manning to name a few), playoffs and beyond is still very possible.

Light ain't gonna go on. Those QB's you mentioned at least had some instincts as they struggled early. Tannehill has none.

The one play that confirmed that to me was 2nd and 1 or whatever and Tannehill rolled out. He could have run for 10-15 yards and easily gotten a first down. Instead he throws a deep pass out of bounds. I could tell Wallace was like wtf?

Tannehill is more skilled? What skills are you referring to? OK, he can throw a curl and comeback. That is it! He has nothing else. Again, the most important thing is that it's obvious he doesn't have the "it" factor. Absolutely none of the awareness a QB needs to be great. It was tough watching Wilson, a guy drafted way after Tannehill, take Seattle down the field for the win in OT showing off just what the "it" factor is.

As for stating Moore knows he isn't better himself, you're just pulling stuff out your a$$.

Those great instincts allowed each of those guys to have worse seasons then Tannehill has had. This is a make or break year for him.

Tannehill. Its stupid that this is even up for debate. Tannehill has played frustratingly bad so far but aside from Moreno and Miller, who has been good on offense? Who? Its time Lazor and Dolphins realize to use Tanny to his full capabilities and utilize his legs now and then. The guy is an athlete. Let him use it!

Why did he resign with Miami with no chance to start when he could have competed for a job elsewhere. His agent got feelers and new there were no jobs ready to be handed to him outside of trying to compete for a spot. if we are talking it factor why is Moore even being discussed unless it factor involves being a journeyman qb.

based on what, higher draft slot?

and dont tell me '' if moore was better he would be starting''.

no, tannehill never earned the job, he was given it. if u think tannehill was actually the best qb in camp in 2012 and earned it, i got a bridge to sell u. this was the qb philbin drafted, and mike sherman coached him at texas a&m, no way he was not starting. they were going to sink or swim with him.

same thing with sparano in 2011, henne was his guy, he was never going to bench henne in favor of moore even though moore was clearly better, but when henne got hurt, he had no choice.

You want to hear another stupid argument the Tannehill apologists and Matt Moore haters love...............

They argue that if Moore were better he wouldnt be sitting the bench because our coaches see the QBs everyday and they KNOW that Moore sucks.

Well arent we talking about the same coaches that they claim do not have a clue?

When it comes to apologizing for Tannehill, the coaches are always idiots who cost us games. But, when it comes time to say why Moore shouldnt start, all of the sudden those same coaches become GENIUSES who would never have the better player on the bench.

That is the same kind of logic liberals use.

Maybe he resigned w Miami bc he knew Tannehill would suck and that he would eventually get the starting nod.

No no no..dont lump all these into one. I was an RT supporter but never really bitched about coaching either.

Who cares about starting? I'd like to witness a conversation about London between Moore and Tannehill. See if Tannehill knows one damn thing about the city. Everybody tried to dismiss the fact that Tannehill didn't know the divisions. Incredible. We drafted a dullard to play quarterback. It's painful to watch his press conferences on the 5th Quarter shows. I'm not saying it's everything but it darn sure should be part of the evaluation process. Dion Jordan has perfected the blank expression with sunken eyes. I'm never confident he knows where he is.

They should have been rolling him out and letting him use his legs from the beginning. I'm not saying get carried away with like rg3 but it seems like since day 1 philbin was adamant about forcing him to learn to stay in the pocket. He's pretty quick and I just don't understand why we never even have designed rollout plays. Even with how bad the line was last year rollout plays were almost non existent.

We now also know what Tannehill brings to the table.

Moore is 6-3 as a starter in his last 9 games. He looked good in this offense in preseason. I mean why not give him a shot?

It is an absolute certainly we are going nowhere with Tannehill. His awareness in the pocket has become laughable.

I wasn't aware than Moore's record was 6-3 in his last 9 games. Damn I'll take that as of right now and I'd seriously be all for him starting at least the Oakland game to see what he gets us.

Good point about the divisions, I was thinking about his today. It's just funny how some of the same posters who were saying Chip Kelly's/Bill Lazor's offense was paint by numbers for QB's yet Tannehill needs more time. Starting to think he's as dumb as he was perceived by non Dolphins fans, and trust me up here in Patsy land that was pretty dumb, when he didn't know that. Funny thing is it seemed like he had potential geography problems as well.

You start Tannehill, he's the starter, but you have a short leash and run the hook on him when he starts playing bad. That might be early in the game. And you go with Moore from then out. Lobato?? Some of you folks are delusional. You run Moore the rest of the season and look for a QB in the draft.
