Whos happy with our new coach joe philbin?

We'll finally have someone who can develop a franchise quarterback.

yup the guy who was coaching the o-line during rodgers development. . . the o-line that SUCKED and held rodgers back for 2 years. YES he is the man to develop a QB.

I especially like the possibility of Philbin bringing Clements from GB as OC. Who know though they may retain Daboll.

Some of you are so enthusiastic about this and I have no idea why. Of all the things that make GB what they are, Joe Philbin is such a small part of it as to be almost irrelevant.

Dude...go back to gang green!

I'm happy because we're putting to bed at long last the 3yds and a cloud of polluted smoke philosophy. Enough was too much. Welcome to post 2004 QB-friendly regs.

Still would have preferred Billick or Zimmer.

I just don't have a good feeling about Philbin. Not only is he going to be dealing with the loss of a child, but I don't know if he has what it takes to be head coach. I have a feeling this might be another Cam Cameron situation where he will be in over his head and out in 2 years. Looks like Matt Flynn is coming here though.

How could you be possibly so wrong in both of your comments?

Someone in the packer's FO said last week they aren't going to franchise him.

To me it makes no sense that they wouldn't franchise him if they re-sign finley because there is a high demand for him so why not force a draft pick for him?

This guy just looks wayyy too much like Larry Coker for me. :(

Larry Coker led UM to 1 national championship even though it should've been 2 if the refs wern't paid off by Ohio state. If Larry Coker 2 can win us 1 SB I could die easy, knowing I've seen all my teams win once in my lifetime.

People in GB seem to talk pretty highly of him, but I'm glad you clarified for all of us that he is a useless O Line coach who couldn't possibly have offered any help to Rodgers during his time there.

me. plus no negative finheaveners can say we can only poach coaches from losing franchises (a la daboll), but omg! no OC from a winning organization would want to come coach the laughingstock dolphins! we have to only raid the bottom dwellers! lmao.

I think the reason is because the tag would be about 14 million for 1 yr. Flynn would obviously sign and any team trading for him would have to give up picks and pay him 14 million unless Flynn is willing to restructure. 14million and a draft pick or two is a pretty steep price for a guy who is high risk high reward.

NFL PA would pitch a fit, they don't have the cap room, and it's against the rules.
