Whos happy with our new coach joe philbin?

Though Daboll runs some elements of the WCO, he's not a WC OC, so I never figured he'd stick around once Philbin was named coach. Just the lack of experience across all the coordinator positions makes me a little nervous. But, here's to hoping you're right :brewskis:...

We can hope right..lol

Who do you guys think are other potential OC's we may bring in?

I'd rather stick with Moore both are backups sorry seen this before.

I will be all for Flynn if they decide to bring him in, but I tend to agree with you about Moore possibly being an equal if not better option for next year.

We could certainly used the money saved not signing Flynn to fill other needs via free agency.

I do like this hire. Most specifically I like this hire because Philbin knows whether or not Flynn is the real deal and that gives us a HUGE advantage in trying to find the solution at QB this offseason.

and if we bring in Flynn we are screwed. Watch the highlights of his 6 td game one td was because nelson breaks a tackle another is a screen against at horrible defense and another is on a free play.

Don't automatically assume were going to get Flynn without giving up a first round pick. I keep reading that the Pack want to sign Finley which I would have to assume would free up the franchise tag for Flynn since there's no doubt there is demand for him.

i think i read somewhere on here stating that there is something in the new CBA that doesnt allow teams to tag and trade anymore.

I believe so too. It was put in so the spirit of FA is upheld by allowing the player to pick his team.

I'm more excited we are finally going to run a WCO. I've been wanting that for years now.

Some of you are so enthusiastic about this and I have no idea why. Of all the things that make GB what they are, Joe Philbin is such a small part of it as to be almost irrelevant.

Wooo wooo, as much as I am not excited about him being hired, I think it's a bit too far to say he was a small part of it. As the OC he did the game plans, ran the practices and meetings during the week, and worked very closely with Aaron Rodgers. His influence in these areas IMO cannot be minimized.

I do not like he didn't call the plays, but I'm assuming he won't do that here, so it's not as big an issue as how I viewed it at first glance.

typical dolphins fans, want the biggest name possible, and then we tank as ussual. its been going on for years now. decades.

mort just said "yeah well with philbin gone they'll be fine, clements has much to do with the qbs, and mccarthy is really hands on with them as well."

great job - an o coordinator who is an oline coach and doesnt have much to do with rodgers, or teh offense, or anything.

TONY SPARANO part 2. with a touch of CAM

the actual QB coach we ignored.

but you ppl will all cry an complain when we "dont know how to develop qbs" in a year.

Mort, really, Mort?

He just says what he's told to say. Some of you get lead around by the media so much, I think it's funny.

Finley will want to test the FA market regardless of what he says so he will get the tag.

If the Dolphins want him, and money is the issue, Ross will not be out bid IMO. The one GREAT thing about our owner, he opens his wallet.
