if we pass on bobbie massie at #42 if he gets there i'd watch out for matt mccants in the 4th or so...
None of us know how things will play out. SOMEONE IS getting out of the top 5, if CLEVELAND likes TANNEHILL. T RICH would be the logical choice, since HBs don't have the "value" they once did. But someone will be there at #8 who represents great value-in-fact. It COULD very well be someone else. (BLACKMON comes to mind) If not T RICH, then just plug in the appropriate name. My underlying point is that there will be VALUE at both 8 and (say) 13 or 14, and enough left to trade down as far as 15. If, e.g., DALLAS wanted to get to #8, to lock up a certain S they like a lot before someone else got him, fine! He's going a little early, so by definition, someone else will go a little late. I can't swear to who it'll be, or which teams do what. I would be happy w/COPLES a little later (13 or 14), or T RICH/KUECHLY at #8. If I could get DALLAS's 2nd, then COPLES at 14 would be my preference because we'd have 2 fairly high 2nds and might well get the 2 players I mentioned. But I wouldn't cry if we got either KUECHLY or T RICH, either.
With or without "luckiness", MIAMI could do very well tonight. PLAN A is the trade-down, which i/m/o sees MIAMI get COPLES, MASSIE, IRVIN, GIVENS, one of the MANY other solid WR, and the best G/OLB still available, by the end of the 4th. PLAN B, w/no trade down, is almost as good. Let's assume that it's KUECHLY at #8. Then it's probably IRVIN or maybe CURRY in the 2nd, and C DANSBY moves o/s. The WRs at #s 3 and 3a, as well as the 4th Round pick, would remain the same. IF IRELAND comes thru on any of the "flyers" in Rounds 5 thru 7, it'll be a VERY good performance in the Draft.
P.S.: I like some of your "flyer" choices!!!
