Why are people acting like the seaon is over?

Sorry, this team is going nowhere and will be a repeat of the last few seasons. We have had to come from behind to barely beat the bad teams we've played, been beaten by a bad teams backup qb coming off a bye, gotten blown out on Primetime TV. There really hasn't been anything positive about this season so far. Sure we could be be 5-1, but we could be 1-5 just as easy.

Ive gotten a bunch of thumbs down as well on my opinion regarding us not having a chance to win this game. Its just logic. Wheres Shouright to show us the odds of us winning using his statistical analysis. Those odds - Slim to None.

I hardly ever get thumbs down on this site and I've gotten the majority of them on my post above saying NE is going to win. That's pretty interesting. Where is this fire and passion on the rest of the site?

The season isn't over. We have to grow and develop. The chances of making the playoffs is over. Look for a big push next year. We simply don't have the talent this year.

Except we are regressing, not growing. If we started 0-3 and won the last 3, I'd be much more positive.

I've been one of the rah rah positive folks on this site all year. It's only until this past Sunday that I'm on the flip side. Sometimes I think the thumbs up/down system can be a bit harsh.

Results at NE since 2007:

28-7 Loss
38-13 Win, Wildcat BS
27-17 Loss
38-7 Loss
27-24 Loss, were up 17-0 at halftime
28-0 Loss
no
Reasonably you'd assume NE is going to win b/c aside from the Ronnie Brown career game in 2008, the Dolphins haven't won in NE since 2005 back when Doug Flutie kicked that drop-kick extra point.
this new England team is the worst new England team in years I don't think you can look at past years. we might lose but not a blowout

Our running games was on point against a team that has a strong run defense.

You should really check your facts before you make a ridiculous statement like this. Buffalo was was 28th in league against the run. Our running games' success had more to do with their ineptitude than our brilliance.

Well,

well, i dont want to say the season is over, as although i am still ticked off from this past sundays loss, but after being able to think about things logically, we are still 1 game back of the division in the loss column only.

now with that being said, it is hard to have confidence in this team, after losing back to back home games (with a bye sandwiched in) to the ravens, who have looked pathetic this season, and the bills, who although they deff r not as bad as ppl thought they would be pre season, they still were starting a qb from duke who was starting his 2nd nfl game of his career, and we let him convert plenty of 3rd down passes. so ya, with that, it is hard to have confidence.

However, taking a look at the pats, there past 3 games, they went into cincy and scored 6 pts, then they pulled off a miracle win vs the saints, and they lost to the jets. the pats have looked far from the worldbeaters that they have been the past many years.

here is the bottom line. we r the underdogs and rightfully so. i do believe on paper, keyword being paper, we match up fine with the pats. obviously they do not have welker anymore, no aaron hernandez, and amendola is not reliable. either way, there wr corp even with gronk back has taken a major hit.

if we lose this game, we r pretty much done with winning the division, as we would be 2 games back of the division with 2 division losses already, including an at best case scenario being able to split with the pats.

However, if we go into foxboro and win, we are at 4-3 and are in very solid shape. will this team come out with anger and take it out on the patriots, or will they come out flat like vs buffalo, which in this case, we would be down more likely 24-0 rather than 14-0.

i am interested to see what dolphins team shows up sunday.

and what makes you think it will be any different next year, its the same thing year after year.

the chances at making the playoffs is over at 3-3? rofl

its not the record, its the way they are playing.

As I was looking through Finheaven this morning I read a few posts that basically assume that the Dolphins are going to lose to Tom Brady and the Patriots. Yes, we do have some issues that need to be fixed, every team does. Yes, we have lost a few important games. However, this team still has a very bright future. Our running games was on point against a team that has a strong run defense, we only allowed 2 sacks vs Bills when we are averaging nearly 5 or 6 per game. Tannehill still has a respectable passer rating.

You guys need to have more faith in this team. I truly believe that we are in the mix of a playoff run. We have beat the Bengals the last two seasons, it's a winnable game. Tom Brady is having one of the worst statistical years of his career and that Patriots are missing some key defensive players. The JETS just took down the Patriots. We can win, and I truly have faith that we will. I'll be at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, with my girl, and we'll be PROUDLY rocking our Ryan Tannehill jerseys. Keep in mind we are 3-3, still at .500. Still very much alive in the race to win the AFC East. Have some faith, Dolphans. Be proud of your squad. With all the issues that we have, we are doing a great job of staying competitive, and we will pull off some of these games. Before the season started, we would have been ecstatic if we started off 3-3. We expected this, and now we are going to make a run!!!!!! #FinsUp #JustWinBaby #LiveAndDieBy17

LEGGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get back to me on Monday

It's not the lack of faith in the team...mostly lack of faith in the coaches, scheme and chemistry, as well as the inconsistency on both sides of the ball. The Dolphins are not scoring enough points to out weigh the points they are allowing. If the defense cannot hold teams to below 20 per game then we must average 28-30 to compensate. This offense has not shown the ability to do that and this defense has not been consistent enough to count on to help give us the time we need to come together as a well oiled machine. Do the math and we lose more than we win until this gets turned around.

There is a very good chance we lose the next two. Buffalo game was a must win

Because after a bye our team looked unprepared and lost to Thad Lewis and the Buffalo Jills. I'm not really sure how anyone can feel positive after the way we played.

thats why

I just realized something that is very depressing. I joined this site in 2005, since then we have had one winning season. Since I joined in 2005 and up until recently, I have been a very optimistic poster. Over the past year or so, and especially the past 3 games Miami has been a joke and I have been confidently pessimistic. Given the rankings, as well as the tangibles AND intangibles, there is no reason at all to be optimistic about this season. This team sucks and has sucked for a very long time. We as fans cannot count on them. That is why I am acting like the season is over. Our team has trained me to think this way. Its not my fault, its theirs.
