Why did Miami Keep AJ?

Did you not read what I post? However, lets go with what you said. How is a QB going to learn a new offense getting only 5% of the snaps during the week, which I question as being too high. Frankly they are lucky to get one.

Practice time is over. Players who are not playing pretty much get pushed aside until next offseason. No developmental time during the season. Its prepare for one game to the next.

No, he is not inactive. He is the 3rd QB. Which means he can play if both get injured.

he is inactive in the sense that if for any reason the other 2 go out, only the 3rd QB can play for the rest of the game, even if the other 2 are removed for only a play. Hence, emergency QB

Actually either of the two QBs can return once the 4th Qtr. starts.

Its enough with him. I think most ofyou are right hes just our emergency #3 until something else comes along, whether that is in the next few weeks or next summer.

Personally I feel we have nothing to lose with bringing in Davey or Couch and put them at #3. We'd still have an emergency 3 and MAYBE future potential?

The longterm QB answer is still in college.

At this point, it mades no sense. I was a big AJ supporter, I didn't see the last PS game, but based on stats and you guys report, AJ can't handle pressure, so he can't can't handle tight games situations. Sage has played as well as AJ and Gus, Sage is as old as AJ, it doesn't make sense to keep 2 of the same as backups, At this point, unless it's a business decision, we should cut AJ, pick up some of the QB's who did well for other teams but got caught in the numbers game and see if we can groom a young guy now. While he's here this year, we can see if he has anything in practice, if not, find the one in next year's draft. I just hate to start over next year with new unproven guy without any NFL experience, at least a young gun this year may have sometime, plus he's got a PS in the NFL under his belt and a whole year of practices and studying and watching before next offseason. In the mean time, I hope Gus gets his timing down, because our WR's have consistently beat DB's down the field, if he hits those we will score, score, score.

I think it is because they see a world of talent in AJ, but they are frustrated with his decisions at times. I think they simply demoted him to try and motivate him, to light a fire under him to get the best out of him.

AJ is still a young QB, he has time on his side.
