i believe what he said. That the painmeds were to much for him, and that he was smoking weed (which is natural by the way.) because it was healthier on his body.

which brings me to my next point if anyone wants to argue.
getting drunk is worse for you than getting high off marijuana. does any one want to argue this?

the reason weed is bad is because while you taking it and while your "high" you can do things like kill somebody and not remember. It also affects your judgement like when driving. It's good if you need it for medical reasons and when your not doing anything. but you can also become addicted to it and when your addicted you will do anything to get whatever your addicted to. back to the topic... Ricky has false intentions, he wants to play football only for the money and to get out of debt. He may be a good player but I think he will quit on us a any time because his heart is not in football.

Alcohol is not illegal, marijuana is. Perhaps there are less side effects, but it's still illegal.

All of us should. Because if he fails another drug test he's gone for a year!

And for Wicky he should because he has children. And if he is exposing his children to that kind of life style he need to not be around them!

i have heard many of you say, that you think Ricky will suck, or he will be nothing more than a career back up, or hes worthless........and lets be honest, you have prolly thought that.
i gurantee you, that Ricky Williams, will be a better running back, than he ever was. ever.....
why?
1.) Ricky didnt like carrying the ball 40+ times a game.....now that we have Ronnie Brown, he wont have that problem....
2.) He had a whole year off :eek: that gave him plenty of time to rest up for the season.....no injuries.
3.) he learned new ways to heal himself properly, and he is more confident and secure with himslef.
alot of you guys say that ricky is underweight and out of shape.
this may be true at the time being. But he only needs to gain 13lbs, to get back to where he was, at 228lbs.
he may be out of shape right now, but hey, this guy is a workhorse, he will be working out, trying to get ready for the season....he will
AND HES GOT 2 mounths, before the NFL season starts, then hes still gotta serve the 4 game suspension.

so baring an injury, i gurantee you Rickys Best days are yet to come.

Well if you look at most of the players that have been out of football for a year they generally don't look half as good as when they left. Although a couple of backs still got over a 1000 yds. that really isn't to hard of an accomplishment.
hell old one hit and down kareem got that.

you have obviously never smoked weed. You actually do rememeber everything you do when your high. Its not like alcohol, it actually makes you smarter and you can think clearler, and it intensifys that information, so if you did kill someone you would remember it vividly. You actually blackout on alcohol. You can not get phsyically addicted to marijuana, that is a myth. Sure, i guess you could get addicted to it mentally, but then again you can get addicted to anything "mentally".

Ricky's heart was always in football, and has never played just for the money. He just didn't like the NFL style it seems. Why else would he stay another year at texas when everyone ruled him off for going to the nfl draft? Why did he not even mention a new contract after 2002 when he clearly out played it? Ricky didn't quit just to smoke pot. I think its obvious he quit because he knew the team wasnt going anywhere, and he was going to be in a wheelchair by the age of 35.
