Let him go easily? are you nuts!?! they got two numbers ones for him and they already had a replacement "home run" replacement. They didn't give him away.

Considering New Orleans gave up an entire draft for him yeah that was letting him go pretty easily. We got him fairly cheap actually. He really did not cost us that much until he left.

Ricky is not coming back. Travis Minor weighs more than he does now. He will have to start taking roids again to get back to where he was and then he will probably fail that drug test. F-Ricky.

i dont think he ever did roids, just pot.

Hmmmm what is the word I am looking for here??? A pats fan hoping for Ricky's return ... Oh I know what it is .... its not a word but its a phrase. But, instead of saying those words, since I would be banned, Ill just say whatever.

How do you know? FOr all anyone knows, Williams has been working and is back up to 225-230. People keep saying this over and over and over. Noone has seen RW in 4 months or better. Unless he is a personal friend of yours, then it makes no sense to say what he weighs.
My guess, which is just as speculative as yours, is that RW HAS been working out and is much closer to his playing weight and is alot closer to playing shape. (This is assuming he plans to come back). There are certainly more rumors going around now that he is than that he's not.
Bottom line is, noone knows right now. (Except maybe Saban) And noone will know for certain until July 1st.

closer to august first.
Ricky verbally announced he was quitting in the last week of July. It was something like Aug 3rd or 4th when he filed his retirement papers.

sorry muck, that was the only printable thing, bad as that was that i can say about ricky, so im gonna stop viewing this thread as opposed to getting banned

Is ricky still 200-210 lbs? Nobody knows, a report came out in November or so saying he was. We haven't heard anything since then. For all we know hes working out right now.

ricky coming back will only compliment ronnie brown. There are two many options with them both in the backfield together. They will be known as the dynamic duo.

Again..IF all those things are resolved, IF he wants to play ball again with the same enthusiasm, IF he regains his muscle mass, IF, IF, IF...Brown and he could work together in the backfield, but wouldn't you rather have a traded for DT or S instead of two backs the caliber of Brown and RW...or...if RW situation had not occurred this past year, we probably would have drafted Edwards instead of a RB ?? Think how good that would be instead of two starting caliber RBs on the team ??? (and I stress that this occurs only if all of the IFs are resolved...)

Good luck trading Ricky, its just not going to happen.

went against the family?....listen, the dude didnt want to play Football anymore. He can retire whenever he wants to. Did he pick a bad time to retire? Yes, but as been pointed out, BArry Sanders retired very close to training camp as well and we consider him the best running back of all time. Why? Should we not ridicule him as well? Bottom line is he is a human being and has every right to choose notto play football.

It wasn't football that he quit from, it was the drug testing that he quit from...BIG difference. Yes, he can decide to quit when he wants, but even Sanders gave his team multiple opportunities to replace him before he retired. You just don't get the reason for his "retirement" It really had nothing to do with his desire to play football...just about pot...

your are absoluting correct in this statement. But the other part you are leaving out is why he was using pot. He made the statement that the meds he was using didn't agree with him (not sure how the side effects were affecting him) That is Why he was using pot. Besides he probably liked the buzz. It's unfair for everyone to just say he's smoking pot because he's a pot head. There is some medicinal value here!!!

You people who want Ricky back are ridiculous. This guy went against the family, and if you know anything about the Godfather, that is something you don't do.

What a bunch of hypocrites. Were you the same people who said, when Ricky quit, "it's ok, he just needs some time off,"?

Please.

The same reason they support Zo. You hate a good player when he leaves your team, but you'll take him back in a heartbeat and love him like he never left.
