Im sorry.. the jury is still out on AJ.... Personally i dont want to sacrifice wins for develpoment. AJ has been around long enough.. nad hasnt take full advantage of the opportunity invested in him. he really has to play the lights out for me to feel comfortable with him.

I want the best QB in the game.. the best QB period. I wonder who the players believe in?

I agree. I do not think it is prudent to wait for Feeley to iron out his issues while we lose games. He has had chances last year and in practice and he has not been able to establish himself. That speaks volumes to me. If he has all this potential then why have we not seen it come out. He has fluctuated from playing poorly and making crucial mistake to playing average to playting moderatley good at times. He has never carried the team and led them anywhere (I know that someone will bring up the New England game last year and he did play well - stats 22/35 for 198 yards and 1 td) but that performance is an average game for any good qb. He did not throw for 200 yds and he threw one touchdown. We went the route of having a caretaker at QB - Fiedler - and while we won games when it came to making plays in big games when all the pressure falls on the QB, Fiedler did not have that ability....I don't think Feeley does either -- he may have the physical ability (as does most every QB who is good enough to make an NFL roster) but he does not seem to have the mental aspect down when it comes to making plays under pressure which is what playing QB is all about. Feeley was a caretaker for the Eagles team when he went 5-1 there (the defense won those games) and that is what he will be here. To that end, unless we develop a defense like the 86 Bears or the Ravens when they won the superbowl we will not win with Feeley. I think Saban knows that and that is why Ferrotte has been handed the job for now while he explores the Couch, MacPherson, and other QB options.

Do you know how a quarterback gets that? Experience.

Hey JR welcome back...

one question....

How would Feeley perform in Indianapolis? with an OL and RB and probably the best set of WR's in the league?
:spit:

Sounds like you said that he was a good qb with an average performance, nothing spectacular. I'll take an average performance with no mistakes and a win every time.

He would not perform because he does not throw an accurate ball like Peyton Manning. Peyton manning makes his teamates better. He puts the ball right on their chest. Obviously we have Chris Chambers, not saying that he isn't a marvin harrison but Marivn has been around a consistent accurate passer and has enjoyed a great deal of success unlike Chambers.

I think its been proven when you put a new quarterback in, it makes the whole team around him more confident. Our offensive line just lacks of confidence. AJ feeley looked so inexperienced at the quarterback position last season that it wasn't even funny.
