Why don't Phins pursue Maurice Jones-Drew

I'm good with Reggie.

I wasn't expecting much when we traded for him but he turned out to be great. He was finally able to showcase his talent.

When you have a running back that runs for 5.0 YPC and 1,000+ yards you stick with him.

Absolutely not! Reggie Bush and Lamar Miller are about as untouchable as the Dolphins have. MJD wants a ton of money, and is moving closer to that dreaded age 30.

Reggie Bush + Lamar Miller > MJD. Guy leads the league in fumbles and then holds out or more money. Don't need him. Spend the $ on some Recievers.

Thats the last thing miami needs, we are set at rb and do not need to overpay for a 30+ rb. Runningbacks are a dime a dozen now so no need for that.

Roman you normally have pretty good posts but this is not one of them. No to MJD.

OK but I don't want to hear all of you crying when you see MJD in a Patriot's uniform in a month or two. You know Bellicheat will do it and the Phin's will be left holding the bag as usual, and wondering why the Patriots always continue playing for Superbowls, while the Phins wallow in mediocrity. I know an older RB with a lot of mileage on the tires is not our biggest need, but the Phins are never willing to improve. If not MJD, then Ireland should at least talk to the Steelers about working a deal for Mike Wallace....despite the "No Trade" policy the Steeler's apparently have. We got a couple of gimpy receivers in Bess and Hartline. I just don't see us putting up a lot of yards/points minus Marshall. Just being real here and not slurping the aqua koolaid like some of you are.

Maybe because he's under contract for the next two years. And possibly because he is Jacksontucky's entire offense?

I think the problem is - It's kinda hard to see how trading a 1st round pick for an aging, (though very good) RB who's been ridden hard & put away wet for the last several seasons constitutes improvement.

Mortgage the future for MJD? Nah, I'd pass.
