Practice Squad
Life being what it is, when you don't have a superstar at QB (how long has it been now?), you're always looking...
Not sure that trading is the way to go. No team will willingly give up a first rate QB so we'd be relying on a second rater coming good. And paying through the nose for that gamble while we're at it.
I think we need to draft a QB, ideally one every few years - even if they don't end up starting, they're usually better trade value than any other position. Given how long QBs can take to develop, it can sometimes pay to take 2nd / 3rd rounders and bring them in over a couple of years. Also, in this day and age, you can't rely on your starter being around (or being any good) for more than a few years so its wise to have a few cards up your sleeve.
I'd try and hang on to Brock Berlin via the practice squad if we can, for this year at least - you never know how guys like him will end up developing, and its not as if he's had much of a chance in camp this year.
