I've said it many times before...I blame the team for not trading down (even if he was the guy they truly wanted) if they weren't going to pay the money slot money for a #2 overall pick.
I like the fact that Ronnie's kept his mouth shut. We haven't heard anything about the contract come out of his mouth, unlike Benson or that total idiot Adam (soon to be Pac n' Ship) Jones.
Now we don't know what's being said behind closed doors with France and Brown, so I can't comment on that. But I don't think Ronnie's actual character should be questioned yet. If you want to question a holdout character (although I don't think there's a question any longer) check out some of the Jones articles. Jones has now come out and blasted some of his soon to be teamates (maybe?), Bullock and Haynesworth I believe, and he's done it in the PRESS no less (hey Dr. Suess :) ). Ok that's off subjest sorry.
Anyway, I don't think anything Brown has done so far causes concern for his character. Oh, BTW, Caddy's contract was a raise over last years pick at that spot by 18 % I believe. That's why he's in camp.
Everyone keeps saying that the Phins should have traded out of the #2 spot. Does everyone think the Phins could have unilaterally forced a trade? It would be like....Gee, there really arent any players available that are worth what a #2 pick will demand, so we have decided to trade our pick to...lets see....uhh, Green Bay. We will give them our #2 overall for their 1st, and 3rd round picks, plus a player of our choosing. Green Bay is not yet aware that we have traded with them, but they will be notified within the hour.
It takes two to tango.....you can't just say "we should have traded the pick"
