I understand the fallout of not getting Peyton Manning, but lets be realistic, as soon as the Broncos came in for Peyton, they were instantly the front runners. Manning has ties to both Elway & Fox, they have a an O'line in place, strong running game, 2 very good WR's and a playmaking D.

The next QB was Flynn. We all stated that we have the best two people in Philbin & Sherman in deciding whether to sign Flynn or draft Tannehill. If Philbin wanted Flynn we could have had him! Obviously he did not.

Alex Smith is rumoured to want a 4yr $40m contract. Next.

We all wanted Peyton, even after a yr of with injury. Take a step back and then wonder why Ireland is being slated for signing David Gerrard to a low 1 yr contract. In his last year with the Jags, with no WR he posted a QBR of 90.8. I also believe signing Gerrard dispels the myth of us trading for Tebow.

When you consider all 4 QB's and the fact we missed on Peyton, in my mind we made the smartest move of all. We have genuine competition at QB, without the risk of a big contract.

We have re-signed Paul Soliai, to a cap friendly contract, released who most wanted to in Carey, Columbo & Y.Bell. Made two smart signings in Richard Marshall, who can play as a genuine cover FS/nickel CB, with Reshard Jones at SS and Artis Hicks has only been brought in for depth but can play OT/OG and again only on a 1yr contract.

Brandon Marshall was traded after every offseason criticising our QB and again after negative publicity and a possible suspension hanging over his head.

We all wanted to follow the GB/Steeler philiosophy of buiding through draft, but when it finally seems to, possibly be occuring, most go nuts over the furore of Free Agency.

I for one (maybe the only 1 lol), believe we have been smart through this process and am looking forward to it continuing with draft!

Because thats how we roll....hate hate hate.

Draft day is yet to happen, and that we can really start to judge things.

I wasnt happy with the Marshall trade, but the FO did what they had too do.

Would liked to have kept Langford, but its not the end of the world. It probably means that Odrick plays more.

Bring on draft day. WR/TE/OLB/DE/CB

Man, if you don't know why people are complaining....open your eyes. The QB situation speaks for it self, so I won't even mention that fiasco. To me, this is a carry over from last years head coach fiasco when we went to talk to a potential HC, WHILE WE STILL HAD ONE. This year, we trade our best player who we traded two 2nd round pics for just 2 years ago for two third rounders. Now our receiving core is one of the worst in the league, meanwhile the Patriots sign not one but 3 receivers that could have helped us. Just a couple of weeks ago our front office said we are in a "win now" frame of mind. Our big moves are resigning Soliai and guy who is a flexible DB....WOW we are going to win some games now. Then we cut our team captain, not only cut him but futt buck him after 2 safteties have already signed with teams, eliminating his chance to get one of those contracts. It is A-hole moves like this that Ireland is known for and players are staying away. We have not got better during this FA period, we have got worse and now have even more holes than we did. Ross and Ireland have seriously made us the laughing stock of the league. He does stuff that makes no sense, pisses people off, and continually screws this team not only now but in the future as well. That is why everyone is complaining bro!

its called rebuilding.....draft new rookie qb, 2 new rookie receivers, new te and new rookie de.

I think Bell being released just after the Jets sign another safety in Landry is not just a coincidence.

I understand the frustration but, when all the fans were clamouring for Orton/Vince Young last year, Ireland signed Matt Moore and im sure I could pull up more threads that not of people pissed by that decision. I like David Gerrard. He has a better body of work compared to both Flynn & Alex Smith and he was signed for a lot, lot less. I also like Richard Marshall who I think is massively underrated.

Neither of these signings make us a better team, certainly not a win now team. Now we have holes in the Safety and receiver spots to go along with the Offensive line, #2 receiver, RT, DE, LB, TE,........! I hope we can fill all of our needs in the draft because good players are avoiding us like the plague! Meanwhile, Tom Brady is gonna have one of the best receiving corps in the league and have boat load of draft picks.

Probably because they're looking at a roster that is actually worse than last year's 6-10 team. But I'm sure the draft will fix all...

I thought we had finally come too the conclusion that too really achieve a playoff team you HAD too have a very good QB. Not just ok but exceptional skills. So, now after all the smoke has cleared, we won't get a FA and now probably not even Tannehill. Not very encouraging for the outlook of next season. Its hard for be too be so optomistic.

I disagree with you regarding Richard Marshall. I like Y.Bell, but having both him and ReShard Jones at safety's was not a good compliment. Now Jones can play SS and Marshall FS and Marshall can slide in an cover slot recv.

I understand regarding the O'line, but both Philbin & Sherman want more athletic lineman, which leaves the door shut on Carey & Columbo. We do have Jerry, Garner & Murtha as viable replacements. I hope we sign Anthony Collins for RT but am happy that Ireland is at least moulding the team to how Philbin & Sherman want.

Dont believe all the BS about Ireland, by former players either. Ireland has never had trouble retaining the players we actually wanted to keep, so see no real problem.

I do believe we need to draft a QB. I would love to trade down and take Tannehill, but dont see Ireland taking him at #8.

Q: Why is everyone complaining???

A: Because we continue to shoot ourselves in the face with a bazooka, that's why!

Tannehill at 8 overall is a little higher than most project him to go. With a lot of holes to fill, it might be a situation where taking the best player on the board might make more sense...

On the plus side, we got a shot at Barkley and a new GM if the draft blows.
