Why is everyone complaining???

Its not like Finfans to over react again!
Is it really "overreacting" when we've been right more often then not over the past decade? We were told we were "overreacting" last year too. And the year before. We were told we were "overreacting" when we thought the Ginn pick and the other moves the FO and Cameron made were idiotic.

How about you not worry about how other fans react to the ****ty job this FO does? If you're happy with what their doing and think they're on the right track, awesome for you.

I disagree with you regarding Richard Marshall. I like Y.Bell, but having both him and ReShard Jones at safety's was not a good compliment. Now Jones can play SS and Marshall FS and Marshall can slide in an cover slot recv.

I understand regarding the O'line, but both Philbin & Sherman want more athletic lineman, which leaves the door shut on Carey & Columbo. We do have Jerry, Garner & Murtha as viable replacements. I hope we sign Anthony Collins for RT but am happy that Ireland is at least moulding the team to how Philbin & Sherman want.

Dont believe all the BS about Ireland, by former players either. Ireland has never had trouble retaining the players we actually wanted to keep, so see no real problem.

I do believe we need to draft a QB. I would love to trade down and take Tannehill, but dont see Ireland taking him at #8.

As it sits, we are looking at a 4 win team....if that.

Well said!

When Flynn fails in Seattle, and Manning is dunzo after one year, all of these whiners will be saying "I never wanted Flynn or Manning anyway"

Never wanted Flynn....but if wanting to take a chance on a future HOF to possibly be competitive this season...I guess Im a whiner.

You apologists need a clue.

We are all right with hindsight.........was you one of the one's clamouring for Kyle Orton last year?

Simple fact is we lost out on Manning, so did many other teams. Philbin did not want Flynn as much as Carroll did. Smith was not worth the money.

I posted who to keep out of Langford & Soliai and most wanted Soliai.......and we kept him.

There was also a post about cutting Bell and most wanted him out and replaced with a coverage FS allowing Jones to slide to strong.....he is gone and Richard Marshall is in.

What else could Ireland have done that the majority would not have?

Forgot about Ginn & Cameron, we are 2012. We can only judge Ireland since last year, after Parcells left. He had a solid draft and brought in Matt Moore & Kevin Burnett.. He has said himself there are many places still to fill, but we are only in March!

You don't get rid of our #1 Wr, a pro bowl one at that, and don't replace him. Sorry, that's just stupid.

He said there are many places to fill....You comfortable with drafting for all these holes? Really?

I understand the fallout of not getting Peyton Manning, but lets be realistic, as soon as the Broncos came in for Peyton, they were instantly the front runners. Manning has ties to both Elway & Fox, they have a an O'line in place, strong running game, 2 very good WR's and a playmaking D.

The next QB was Flynn. We all stated that we have the best two people in Philbin & Sherman in deciding whether to sign Flynn or draft Tannehill. If Philbin wanted Flynn we could have had him! Obviously he did not.

Alex Smith is rumoured to want a 4yr $40m contract. Next.

We all wanted Peyton, even after a yr of with injury. Take a step back and then wonder why Ireland is being slated for signing David Gerrard to a low 1 yr contract. In his last year with the Jags, with no WR he posted a QBR of 90.8. I also believe signing Gerrard dispels the myth of us trading for Tebow.

When you consider all 4 QB's and the fact we missed on Peyton, in my mind we made the smartest move of all. We have genuine competition at QB, without the risk of a big contract.

We have re-signed Paul Soliai, to a cap friendly contract, released who most wanted to in Carey, Columbo & Y.Bell. Made two smart signings in Richard Marshall, who can play as a genuine cover FS/nickel CB, with Reshard Jones at SS and Artis Hicks has only been brought in for depth but can play OT/OG and again only on a 1yr contract.

Brandon Marshall was traded after every offseason criticising our QB and again after negative publicity and a possible suspension hanging over his head.

We all wanted to follow the GB/Steeler philiosophy of buiding through draft, but when it finally seems to, possibly be occuring, most go nuts over the furore of Free Agency.

I for one (maybe the only 1 lol), believe we have been smart through this process and am looking forward to it continuing with draft!

People are complaining because they're frustrated we've been bad for so long. very understandable.

Problem is, they will complain about anything and call for blood whenever they have a chance. Our team is finally making smart fiscal decisions in Free Agency after years of doing the opposite. These same *******s were whining about terrible contracts given to Daunte Culpepper, or trades made for Joey Harrington in the past (both of which were far more proven commodities than Matt Flynn or Alex Smith).

Hindsight's 20/20, and people basically are headline hungry numbskulls who don't tend to think with perspective. They want it NOW! lol

Yes, even if it takes more than a year, because that is the best way to do it. At least until you have the answer at QB. Because until you have the answer at QB it makes no sense to reach and spend too much on FAs.

No one probably has a problem with philosophy. I like it. They just don't want Ireland heading it. Plain and simple.

Glad to see there's still some sanity around. Excellent post, well articulated. You're spot on regarding Manning too. It's funny, the same guy hailed as the coach that got away - Harbaugh - apparently couldn't lure Manning to Frisco even though they are clearly head and shoulders above the Broncos and primed to win now. So I guess by the logic of some people on this board, Harbaugh should go too because clearly he can't seal a deal. We will build through the draft and tinker here and there with FAs when it makes sense.

So the new QB we will find without WRs....then we get the WRs...then playoffs. Sounds ridiculous

Successful teams use FA and Draft....they dont just dump good players and say draft

By the way....why would I want to give Ireland ANOTHER year?

Id like to ask saints fans if they wish there front office had been more frugal in the saints case....colstons case...theres a case to be made for making moves the splash with a qb or Wr signing... i cant think of one team in the playoffs in recent memory with an array if merely average wide receivers and a mediocre quarterback...

Well put I agree with you 100% finally someone that gets it!!...I cant stand all the complaning making us look like fools when we havent even gotten to the draft yet makes me sick so glad I dont live in FL....Bottom line is Mia prob has the worst fans in the NFL YES THE WORSt!!!! The majority of them havent got a clue they just roll with what the media says its pathetic and everyone should be ashamed of themselves for not letting this play out.

Fact is we have a very solid team and Ireland has drafted very well and made some nice moves in my opinion in trying to get us out of the rut Parcells put us in. But he is in a lose lose situation anyway, if he makes a splash like you all want and it doesnt pan out "He doesnt know what hes doing and set us back" or on the flipside of that if he doesnt want to overspend for a backup QB or any other positon then hes an *******, liar, arrogant you name it and hes "low balling everyone" (which every GM does BTW) or if he picks up a No Name guy or drafts someone that doesnt "FIT THE FANS MOLD" then "this front office is in DISSARAY"

Look Im from Pittsburgh lived here my whole life and have said this many times but Miami right now is doing exactly what the steelers do they draft draft draft draft and occasionally pick up a "No NAME FA" and what happens you ask????? These guys turn into studs because they fit their system they put them in position to suceed. Again, Ireland brought in a coaching staff that that is Hightly regaurded around the league and all has and came from winning backgrounds they know what it takes to win!!!!

All you clowns should come to the city of champions aka Pittsburgh and see how real fans act and stand by their team cause Pit has went through rough periods as well fans here just arent a bunch of whinny little bitches like most in this forum...Once we grab our QB this year will be golden!!!

You mean the same harbaugh that didnt tinker with free agentz or the draft and went 13-3in and the nfc championship game?
